Mine only take 4xAA per mill and look a bit more streamlined and easy to wield.

How much salt and pepper do you grind that you consider using your grinders counts as any kind of exercise ?
as much as grinding salt and pepper became too difficult that people need a motorized ones. I am happy to gift this to my mom who has arthritis fingers though :)
Before you buy these, be sure to understand that the visible amount of salt and pepper, is all you can actually fit in there.
The rest is a battery chamber.
also the grease from the turning mechanism can get on your salt if not careful
