$129 for a (12 Inch 'AirMate' Bladeless Fan RRP $299) - Free Postage

312

Found this on Grabone this morning, I saw Dyson's version of this not too long ago going for around 1k so I guess the Chinese finally managed to make a copy of it.

But why should you get a Bladeless Air Multiplier? How is it any better than that rusty old fan you got from that Garage Sale? Well firstly the 'AirMate' is a bladeless fan that uses Air Multiplier technology to generate smooth, uninterrupted airflow with no unpleasant buffeting. This means that you don’t get that 'choppy', irregular bursts of cold air blowing on your face…you just an even flow of coolness! Top this off with the fact that the 'AirMate' has NO blades & there for is safe for kids (even your curious cat) AND you get a choice of either a Black & Blue, Silver OR White fan & you've got one great summer-time lifesaver! Throw in Nationwide delivery to anywhere in Australia as well as a 12 Month Warranty & you've got one great deal!

personally, way too expensive for me….. prefer a bunnings special for $20

  • nvm/

  • I just bought one for that price although the taller version 43cm , very cheaply made works though

These aren't the Dyson ones, and are NOT retail $299.

1-day.com.au got in shit for trying that trick too, and they were only selling for $80.

Yeah this is rubbish, it really isn't worth $129. I went overseas once and saw them selling it for AUD50 (converted of course)

  • so what's wrong with a good old fashioned (and cheap) fan?

  • Can pick an equivalent on eBay for $88 delivered…

  • fake dyson fan. shit deal

"Air Multiplier" is trademarked by Dyson. It's the Dyson's that sell for RRP299.

  • how can you compare an real Dyson with a fake product?

  • Ya this stuff is dodgy I saw a ton of them in Thailand on my last trip. Probably cost 50 bucks.

  • Damm, no more talking into the fan and sounding like a robot…

  • fake dyson no deal

  • Odd to see people getting all defensive about a table fan made by a UK company, using technology nicked from Toshiba, charging $350 - $400 per fan. Particularly as many reviews indicate it being no better or worse than a cheapie. http://www.choice.com.au/reviews-and-tests/household/heating…
Wonder what the profit margins are on those babies?…..
I suppose they need to be that price so they can afford to legally chase after anyone who copies their copy.

Anyhow…. This mentality will ensure prices will never fall….. as people are happy to pay for the 'real deal'.

    well done Dyson

  • Where was the Dyson one going for $1K? When they came out they went for $300.

  • Fake, cheaper on ebay etc.
