I don't know. I only know that all Miele products in Australia is supplied directly from Miele warehouse. (even when you buy from retailers like The Goodguys, Harvey Norman, etc)
6000 series and above is made in Germany. All series below (including this one) have parts manufactured in Germany, but the dishwasher is assembled in Czech Republic or somewhere similar.
5 star WELS is good
Im pretty sure this is the dishwadher i have. So far it's been 🦞🥚. Only fault is it took me forever to get used to the cutlery draw.
If your dishwasher is filled with lobsters and eggs you've got bigger issues than the cutlery drawer.
I was looking at dishwashers on the weekend in store, I've got to say personally I thought the Bosch series 6 was a better build quality than the cheaper Miele's (and by cheaper they were still a few hundred more than the Bosch). For about $100 more than this I would say people should check out the series 6 Bosch to compare. I still didn't purchase one as they are about $400 more expensive than pre-covid levels.
We bought this Miele 10 days ago. I went to Harvey norman 2 times to check LG and Bosch 6 series (as recommended by choice magazine) but couldn't buy the same. Once you see and feel the quality of drawers of Miele, no other brand is good enough.
I'm not sure of the exact Miele model I looked it but I found the drawers didn't seem as good as the Bosch but this model does look different. The LG reads very well on paper and I normally like LG products but product review seems to report a lot of issues with the LG's in terms of breaking down.

How's it washing for you?
The big advantage I see from Miele is the automatic door opening after the cycle finishes, but that's only on their more expensive premium models.
