Camel camel camel shows the normal price for these was $11.69.

    Not really a saving then…

About 8 years ago, I bought 2-metre HDMI cables which were supposedly guaranteed to support HDMI 1.4, up to 10.2GB/s. They were 28AWG.

This cable is guaranteed to support HDMI 2.0 at 18GB/s, while still having a thickness of only 28AWG (and 3m long some more, which reduces conductivity). What gives?

Surely the gauge (AWG) should be the main thing determining bandwidth and therefore compatibility with the standards? (assuming it is soldered and shielded well enough).

I guess the only way to know if your cable is good enough is to try…..

  • Possible to activate the code for 2m cable?
