Wish we had the same deal here in NSW

Second this! After using sheers for 15+ yrs I used a hedge trimmer for the first time the other day. Went straight to Bunnings to buy my own but thought I'd try my luck waiting for a sale first… If only it were in NSW as well. I never realised how much quicker and easier it is using a hedge trimmer!

        Next step robovacuum.

  • Looks like only one in stock?

  • They had few in stock.

    • How many items left roughly as you saw it today?

      • +1

        There were 4 this afternoon.

  • Not bad, given that that battery itself cost quite a bit

    • Minimum is 36V or more.

Sorry am I reading 2.0aH as battery capacity?

      • -6

Yes 2.0aH is the capacity, so the kit I think comes with 2x2.0aH 18v batteries to achieve the 36v output

        • +2

Unlike other brands, Ryobi’s 36V tool range is single-battery operated, as pictured here

  • +2

It comes with 1 x36v 2000mah battery and charger. This kit is currently listed on Bunnings site at $349. Wish we could get this deal in NSW.

    • That one for $349 is a different model number. The Bunnings fineline number is different as well.

  • +3

This is a great deal. By the way, that’s a 2.6Ah battery.

Please don’t waste your money on this. In the long run, these machines don’t last that long, battery is drained so fast & there is almost no power.
I learned the hard way, bought it thinking its a lot cheaper than petrol omes, ended up giving it away for free. And purchasing a PROPER petrol one.
You would be better off buying second hand on fb marketplace with petrol, than getting this one brand new.

Really? I bought the one for ozito and it is rock solid the battery lasted as long as i needed

      • +1

I got an Ozito one a few years back.
The motor, gearbox and blade were way better than i anticipated.
Run time was long enough for household use on an average 1/4 acre or less suburban block.
Ran out of charge a few times, but only when I'd let things over grow badly.

Got to a point however after 3 years or so where the included NiCad wouldn't hold charge.

Went and got a Ryobi 18v unit ( i have other one+ tools) and it was a piece of crap, literally loose and flimsy in hand.
Took it back and got a corded unit, same issue, took it back too.

Got out the old Ozito, modded the battery so i could plug in 3 cell RC lipo batteries and it's worked better then either of the 2 Ryobi ones.

I usually think Ozito is crap (their rotary tool was!) but.. got lucky??

        • all my tools are ozito lol ryobi is just too expensive for me haha and none of my ozito fail so far haha

        • Ozito is fine for yard warriors. Careful charging those lipos. Could lose house.

      • Ozito has a few different versions, which one did you get? I need one for my front garden as its getting unruly.

    • they come with at least 3 years warranty…

    • Not saying I totally agree with you on this, but I do get where you are coming from.

I look at all these plastic $500+ battery lawn mowers in Bunnings and they just don't look like they'll last 10+ years. I've got a hand me down brigs and Stratton mower that I've had for 9 years and it was far from new when I received it and it shows no sign of slowing down…

      • My “plastic” $499 Ryobi lawn mower has 6 years warranty. I have had it for 6 months now, it’s much lighter and much quieter than a petrol one, battery lasts forever, looks like new.
For my use, I don’t think I will ever be going back to petrol ones

Check out Ego. Nothing beats ego. Screw ozito.

    • Careful with those dirty words.

      • -3

How is screw a dirty word? I've had experience with these tools and it's better to go with good quality stuff, especially for electric. Ego blows it all out of the water.

      • If I did not have an ego I would not be here tonight

        ..

Sounds like you need the hedge trimmer treatment OP. Welcome to OzB

Can I drive down from NSW to pick it up? Asking for a friend.

  • Any other Melbourne metro locations have it at this price?

  • Just checked in store, still in stock but no longer on clearance
