    Reeee no toys

  • +14

Why not groceries :( I have panic buying to do…

  • +3

Is it just me, or does anyone else not buy anything from the above categories on Amazon? I mainly buy toys, groceries and baby.

    • +4

I buy books, sometimes Amazon has rare ones with great prices

    • +2

Also there are so many things that feel like they should fit these offers, but don't. Smartwatches are not watches. An Oculus Quest (standalone VR headset) is not electronics.

      • +3

Which of the above categories should an Oculus Quest fall under?

        • +1

Luxury beauty I'm guessing. It's a lovely headset!

Amazon has Babies for sale now?
      Noice

      • I dunno man, sounds like the loss leader to end all loss leaders.

  • Can you use gift card for payments through shop back, if so where can I buy cheap Amazon gift cards ?

    • +1

Cant see in the T&Cs that you can't. HCF members 4% off, Suncorp rewards 3% off to stack should work

    • You can get cashback at Amazon with payment via gift-cards.

Buy Amazon gift-cards from Australia Post when Shopback/Cashrewards offer increased cash-back.

Here's an example last month: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/543180

  • First time using Shopback. Can someone please help?
How do I activate Amazon Australia? I cant see an activation button anywhere.

    Help says:
"During online shopping, the button notifies users if the store they're shopping on is eligible for Cashback. A notification box on the top right-hand corner of the browser will start blinking to prompt users to activate Cashback for a store that's eligible.

Simply click on 'Activate Cashback' in the notification box that appears. Once it's clicked, proceed with checkout as usual."

Once you've signed up to Shopback, you just have to click the 'Amazon' link on the ShopBack website and it will take you to Amazon and track your purchase using cookies in the backend. Make sure to disable adblockers and remove items from your cart first.

      • Thanks. I didn't realise that was all I had to do. I just didn't see any blinking notifications.

    Reeeee… no electronics

    • Still 5%

      • yeah…was expecting it to 10% or something…lol

  • +3

i'm guessing these are the least sold cats.

  • books and office products is what i needed. Thank you

  • Doesn't work if you use amazon credit , right?

    • Nope, payments via gift cards work however towards cashback. I use the Suncorp app for 3% discounted gift cards.

      • Do u just enter code at the checkout to use the gift card or do u add the gift card to the account first . Does the ShopBack cashback work either way ?

        • I loaded the gift cards to account payments options first.

    Reeee…no kitchen

Edit: or does that fall under Home?

    • +1

I thought it would be home as kitchen is a subcategory but nope… Cashback denied

  • Would the shopback track if I'm purchasing multiple items in one transaction, and only some of the items fall within the eligible categories? Or would the entire transaction be considered ineligible?

    • Same here, ordered 3 books in one transaction (2 from US) and only the local cheap one tracted.

  • Kind of feels like I'm visiting 4chan with all the reeeing in this thread.
