      That's very expensive for chicken.

      • Only 1.9kg of it is chicken

        • -1

$31.35 is expensive for 1.9kg of chicken. (plus delivery)

          • @jv: That is not the cost of the chicken though, is it?

              @Luo18740:

That is not the cost of the chicken though

It is… that is the cost per kg for the box… (plus delivery)

              • @jv: And the box contains meat that is not chicken.

    Seems very expensive to me

    Don't see a deal here.

Why is it more expensive to buy the value box at its "normal price"? I added the items individually into the cart and it came to $95.92 instead of $99.

The rep see's this site as an opportunity to exploit rather than free advertising. Oblivious to the fact that people will be able to see this deal when looking up this business in the future showing those who see it how the business conducts themselves.

Give ThomasFarms a break , they are trying to get 600% profit to cover losses from the meat glut .
    Support small biz .

  • I smell a rip off

  • Thomas Farm seem to forget that SA has a plethora of easily accessible meat wholesalers. That, combined with Foodland buying direct from Inghams down the rd, getting chicken at 6.99kg is common as is scotch fillet for under 20kg

  • Getting ready with the negative button presses but here we go.

Wow, 2020 and people are still eating meat.

    OK, back on topic

Are these guys saying they are sourcing their meet from country abattoirs?
I could not get that information from their website (Though I am typing this on my third glass of Shiraz).

IMHO: If you eat meat and you want to spend good money on meat and care where it comes from, go for a drive and visit a country butcher that has been killed onsite. Before turning vego our family would go out in the country and visit a country abattoir only an hour outside of Adelaide and supported those who cared about their animals.

Secondly you are supporting townships who have been struggling with bush-fire and drought.

    • Wow, 2020 and people are still bitchin online.

Time to put that bottle away.

      • Nothing wrong with ensuring the animals you eat had a good life.

Country butchers shouldn't be killed anywhere.
