  • Cool

  • Nice. Cheers Dealbot.

  • I do love a good carnival…

  • +2

Is it just me or does anyone else have tracking issues when purchasing on Catch during the carinval? Last 3 carnivals i’ve had to manually claim it back which is frustrating.

    • +2

And 9.1% cashback post GST is not much more compared to regular 6% off catch egift from suncorp rewards which is easy and instant and covers shipping

  • +8

Just got informed that I won't be receiving the upsized 20% cashback from this deal with no real/personal reason why.

I spent $63.92, nothing was out of the ordinary, just 3 bags of cat litter and 5 rolls of dog poop bags. No promo code used or anything.

    $12.78 of lost money.

I've rescinded my + on that deal.

I feel like I'm on the same boat as others where all the 3c ebay cashbacks go through with no issue but these big % cashback deals need to be chased and often get rejected for no reason. Getting a bit sick of the effort really.

      Hi King Steuart,

I would like to follow up on this up for you, would you be able to shoot a reply to that email you received and then PM me your registered email address? I'll let the team know to keep a lookout for your email.

      • +1

        Done.

        • Just got a similar reply here from SB. I purchased 2 Groupons from this deal exactly, it tracked my cheaper purchase which was made later.

This is very disappointing SB, up your game.

    • +2

I agree. I always get shafted with Dan Murphys every single time on big purchases.
And half the time you may do a purchase because of the incentive, so when it doesn't track it really wasn't worth it!

    • +2

I spent over $100 in the last 20% with My Pet Warehouse and while Shopback compensated $10, the shop wasn't really worth it without that 20% cashback because there were more competitive offerings at the time. Just resigned myself to never using cashback with My Pet Warehouse, lol.

  • Will clicking through to the Groupon app also trigger the 20% highest tier cashback?

The app says that only opening Groupon in the shopbsck app will trigger highest tier CB

    • +2

Sorry for the confusion, 20% should available on both desktop and app.

  • +1

Pretty bad. Went to buy 2 of an item on Groupon and the 12% off sitewide only comes of 1 of them making the second full price even though it hasn't hit the $40 limit.

I have never been overly impressed with catch or Groupon deals as they usually have pitfalls such as this.

    • +1

That's how Groupon work. Discount only applies on the first item.

  • Groupon landing page is showing 25% for me - https://www.shopback.com.au/groupon-flash-sale

  • +2

Note: Menulog’s 15% is only for new Menulog customers. Existing customers only get 4.5%

  • So what's of value on groupon these days?

What kind of stuff do people get?

    • I just tried this, discount looks decent and get free delivery. Good reviews too

  • Thanks, just got my weekend dinners sorted.

  • Can we use this more than once per store? For eg Groupon

    • Unlimited for cashback yes. Groupon's code has limited uses however.

  • Will I still get the cashback if using Groupon credit?

    • +1

Doubt it - usually says not valid for store credit

    • +2
      • Cashback is calculated AFTER the usage of Groupon credit
  • Have the same question. Is cashback valid if using Groupon credits and can it be used more than once. I had to cancel an order and just got groupon refunds. Want to get confirmation if I am eligible for cashback before I place the order again

    • +3

Yes you can, but the cashback is calculated from the total 'after usage of Groupon credits'. Read the t&c's

      • +1

        Thanks.

  • +1

Is it just me or can you only use the code SB12 two times?

    • +1

Yea, only manage to use it twice and then it rejects the code. Doesn’t mention that in the T&C

  • +1

Does iherb 20% stack with the code newfriend20 as well?
or is it just 20% max?

    • +2

Only the 20% cashback. Code isn't approved so it may not stack.

However if you are deciding to purchase anyway with the code, then it's just an extra click through SB to potentially get an extra 20%. Can't guarantee you'll get the cashback, but if you don't the reason would come down to using the code.

  • +1

I just bought a Xiaomi M365 Pro - I hope shopback tracks for me.

  • -1

Not working for any order purchases over 2 deals. It says ‘Sorry, this code cannot be used for this order’.

    • -1

I just did it? maybe your vaule of $40 is up?

  • +1

Same. SB12 can only be used twice, then subsequently "promo cannot be applied to this deal".

  • What was the term for the SB12 code? It said cannot be used for my order

  • +1

Bought couple things off Groupon now the code doesn't work on anything.

  • +1

iHerb are offering 15% off on some products. Can we stack the 20% on top of this? There is no promo code to be applied, iHerb automatically takes away their discount.

    • +1

That will be fine. It's only codes you can't stack.

  • +1

Cashback on Groupon is showing at only 5% for me at the moment, I thought the deal was on until 1pm.

    • +1

Also rep, if cashback is "up to 20%" which items are excluded from 20% cashback?

      • +2

        Goods are 1.4%

        • Where did you see that? I saw it say 20% "all other items" in the chrome shopback extension. If it's 1.4% for the scooter, I'm not going to be happy.

          • @cheapass88: It was under the cashback info/ cashback rate if u scroll down on their term

            • @K-Tan: I better follow up. Groupon/shopback can't be contacted. Store Rep only replies to make more sales. Typical sales person. A neg for this deal should be the way to go.

            • @K-Tan: I contacted livechat and they told me it was 20% for EVERYTHING. And it'd take 48 hours to track. Now to wait..

  • SB12 only works twice. No deal. It wasn't on terms and conditions and I spent it on 2 deals up to $30.

    • I tried on other account and it didnt work either

  • What things can I buy on iherb that I won't regret?

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • Do you get the cash back at adairs if you use the linen lovers membership number?

    • Yes that's fine.

  • +1

How long does it take Groupon purchases to track?

    • I contacted Shopback and they have said 48 hours. I still haven't received anything

  • +3

I lost my Iherb cashback on the last deal for no reason even though I was careful enough to click through Shopback with adblockers disabled.I even took a screenshot after I made the transaction as proof.

I was given a standard list of reasons why my cashback didn't come through but it's strange how Iherb is the only one that gives me problems.

It was a large order for me so I don't feel safe jumping onto this cashback deal again.

  • Any maximum cap for catch.com.au?

    • +1

      No cap.

  • Will 10% for catch apply on electronic appliances?

    • Only 1% applies electrical/electronics.

  • +1

Anyone not getting their cashback tracked ? Groupon for me

    • +1

Edit: cashback tracked, but it is about 7% instead of 20%

    • No. Same for me.
Copy and paste from another shopback "deal"

I bought a Xiaomi scooter from the Groupon flash sale, always do the same process of, opening incognito, logging into shopback, clicking the link to Groupon, logging in. I have shopback chrome extension and it was green too. After making my purchase, it had the ""hurray, You're on your way to cashback" or something along those lines.
Contacted shopback for days and got they're waiting for merchant and everything should be fine as they can see i clicked the link. 1.5 weeks later, i get a rejection email. So angry right now as it's around $160 I'm out. I will neg every shopback deal just to warn everyone. Funny thing is, it tracks all the little purchases, and anything over $10 cashback never tracks. Guys, use cashrewards.. they have had tracking issues sometimes but I've always had my missing cashback credited later.

    • +1

My two Groupon purchases didn't get tracked. When I made the purchases, I even got the Shopback popup saying "Hurry, your shopping trip has been recorded!". I took a screenshot of the first one (I didn't take one of the second one as it looked exactly at the same). A few days later, when the status for the clicks in Shopsback's Click Activity still showed as only "Clicked", I then reported the two clicks as missing cashback using the report a missing cashback links.

I just got a reply back about one of them, not sure which missing claim it's a reply to as the email does not mention any details and is a generic looking email, and the reply is that the missing cashback request is rejected. This is really disappointing as I had purchased the Groupon deal as it was a 20% cashback promo. I haven't got a reply yet about my second claim, I really hope the second claim isn't rejected as well…
