Was just hunting around for a new BBQ and saw this. Similar ones go for $1699 at Barbeques Galore so it seems to be a bargain.
I'm not sure how good it is, but it certainly looks the goods.

This guy BBQs.
Even if you were invested in Kitchenaid, this BBQ isn't made by Kitchenaid. Just has their name slapped on it.
Generally you would think / hope it would have to be a very very high quality product for them to out their name on it.
You sure it's the same? The bbq galore ones seems to have a infra red rotisserie burner and stuff on it itt, can't see anything on this one about having a rotisserie burner. Might sound silly but that would be the difference between me pulling the trigger or not.
Nup, I'm not sure
It’s not the same. Just look at the number of dials.
I am sure this is a bargain as far as Kitchenaid BBQs go, however this is not a bargain as far as BBQs go!! Spend this much on a gas fired Weber and you’ll be happy for life.. spend half as much on an Akorn and you’ll be even happier with the versatility.. learn how to cook over charcoal and you are set for a lifetime of beautiful food.. please don’t waste $899 on a gas fired 4 burner bbq!!
For the record I cook on a Kamado Joe which I acknowledge is much more expensive than this, but you can get the same results much cheaper.. the only thing you sacrifice is longevity. A charcoal Weber or an Akorn kamdado are what I would recommend by far.
Great article - I couldn't agree more!
I'd go for a weber unless you're heavily invested in kitchenaid
