I have an old Lenovo M72e Tiny PC attached to the back of a monitor using the VESA mounting points. I've been using this combination as a kind of transportable computer over the last couple of months.
I think it'd be really convenient if the monitor/computer had a carry handle, and the obvious place to attach such a handle would be the VESA mounting points. However, I've tried googling and I haven't been able to find much.
There's a guy on Reddit looking for the same thing.
I can find watermelon carry handles, concrete block carry handles, and even dog carry handles. Monitor carry handles? Not so much.
I did find this one but it's in the UK, and appears to be rather over-engineered (for Special Forces operatives?) and likely to be in the category of "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it".
I also found this device, which is closer to what I imagine such a thing would look like, but it's pretty pricy for a piece of flat metal with a wooden handle. The second-hand monitor that I want to attach it to only cost me $30!
Has anyone seen anything like this?
You could make the tabletkiosk.com one easily enough.
They're expensive because it's a low demand item, when was the last time you saw someone carting a PC or screen down the street> That's why we invented laptops, and LAN parties are so '90s.
