TV LED screen broken; repair, chuck or sell (parts)?

Hi All, bought a tv in this deal last year:

I recently moved house and ruined the screen in the process (big black patch in the middle now). Checked with one repair company and they were gonna charge me twice what I paid for the tv.

Does anybody have any thoughts on whether I should look for a cheaper repair guy, or sell the tv as is, or sell parts of it? Or don’t bother at all and just get rid of it.. Have organised a similar, second hand tv in the meantime so I’m not desperate to get it repaired, but wouldn’t mind to somehow get a few $$$ for it.

Thanks

Stick it on Gumtree for parts/repair and if no takers after a while take it to eWaste recycling.

Yeah free on what above said. Post on Gumtree as 'for parts' and 'negotiable' and if no buyers, chuck it

If you're the creative type: https://youtu.be/8JrqH2oOTK4

As an aside, the plastic diffuser / filter sheets they use are seriously expensive.

Unfortunately most of the money is in the LCD panel. The rest of the 'TV' is just some LED lights, diffuser, transformer and the video control board.

Give it away or send it for recycling.
