Airfryer is just a fancy small oven

A fancy small oven is just an air fryer.

    • Don't really understand the hype over them to be honest. We have one in our household but it's not really any different to an oven, except for a little less pre-heating required

      • +3

It must be easier to clean though right? That's why I'm thinking about getting one. So I don't have to get down on my knees to clean an oven.

Absolutely - we have the Phillips XL (6L) and it has a removal inner hub, mesh and grill separator. All in the dishwasher and a wipe down of any finger marks on the panel. I would get the largest Phillips on offer now - just been so great.

"so I don't have to get down on my knees to clean an oven"

HMMM … you obviously haven't heard of SELF CLEANING pyrolytic ovens.

Why don't you upgrade to one & save yourself all that hard work?

          • +4

            @Gekov: Cheap pyrolytic oven $849 Legal installation $150 = $999
            Cheap Kmart airfryer $89 legal installation $0 = $89
Renting no option for changing the oven

          • @Gekov: I rent. :-( But I've heard they are an increased cancer risk. (Yeah I know, breathing causing cancer too. But still….)

      • "little less" being around 10 minutes less

      • đŸ¤” The time taken to make something crispy using an oven is hell longer than using an airfryer. Sounds to me you may have failed a few fail times and got over it :)

    • And cheap to run perfect for small family.

Note: Measurements in this book are in imperial measurements, conversion will be required, resistance is futile.

And nothing does Pizza re-heat/re-crisp! Wow - I even put fresh/new take-away Pizza in there when I get it. Just crisps it beautifully, especially the Costco ones!

        Reheating KFC is amazing too.

The air fryer has been one of my most beloved purchases. My only regret is I didn't buy the XL size.

        • +1

Always put KFC in as soon as we get it how recrisps it and amazing how much oil comes out also good for fish and chips again amazing how much oil comes out
