There's other benefits; like better sound quality through a wider sound stage, less echo-ey sound, no build up of pressure
and not only does outside sound get in, but your sound leaks out more easily too, so other people around you will be able to hear fairly clearly as well. Another down side is there's usually far less bass

For those who don't quite get it , open back would mean there's "air circulation" and breathability in the ear cups, at the cost of sound isolation. Imagine you have speakers in your room but they're stuck to your ears , basically…? Kinda
Basically it'll be noisy if you're in a noisy environment ☺️✌️🙏
