It’s a deal at that price

  • Damn would have copped if it was wireless!

  • +4

Surely not under cost right, it's always been under $100 on Ozbargain

    SOckpuppet…?

OP appears to have ticked the "I am Associated" tickbox.

    • No idea what that means, but happy to answer any questions anyone may have in regards to this item.

        Sure…

        • ? I'm sorry, if there is an issue with my post please do point it out, I'd much rather do this all the right way.

Cheeky WFH Tax claim? Headset for "Video and Audio conferences"

    • can you claim headsets for wfh? if so could you even claim the airpods

      • To accurately claim you would likely have to specify the percentage of usage of work vs personal. If it's a significant enough amount of work use then it should be eligible. From my understanding anyway.

    • Was considering this and went for the exact same review. I only watch half way through because the material puts me off… It just feel so cheap… sorry OP :(

  • Are these a good purchase for PC games and Online meetings?

    • +1

Obviously being associated with the store feel free to disregard my advice on these; but they are a good general all rounder headset, especially at a cut price (Normal RRP is the 150 mark). you'll get good comfort and decent sound and an (IMO) above average mic.

  • Looking for headset for PC gaming. Are these at all comparable to HyperX Cloud II?

    • +2

I bought HyperX after my Logitech broke as they were made of plastic. I will never buy logitech or any of that plastic crap again, personally would rather pay a bit more for quality build that doesn't end up in land fill sooner. The informaiton is out there, google "logitech headset plastic broke" and see what future awaits you.

Can't comment on the Logi's but like you say - my HyperX Cloud 2's get worn for around 5 hours per day and after 3 years, they are like new!

      • Applicable commentary to most headphones. I don't see why you'd target this manufacturer. I've owned all the big brands - they are all the same till something goes wrong.

They seem to trade blows on this website: https://www.rtings.com/headphones/tools/compare/hyperx-cloud…
"If you’re looking for a headset that you can customize and have many controls, then the Logitech G433 Gaming Headset will be a better option. If you prefer straightforward headsets and prefer to care about comfort and build quality, then the HyperX Cloud 2/Cloud II is a better choice."
…As for me, I prefer a "straightforward headset… comfort and build quality".

      • I went Razer Kraken X for under $80 delivered from the current 20% off at Bing Lee sale.
Comfortable and work well for what I need (some gaming, some WFH). They also look fairly standard in plain black and don't have any "gamer" styling to them.
I missed the Cloud II sale at JB (was going to order but the sale finished the night before!).

Get the Cloud II 100%! Build quality is great!

      • +1

Difficult to find the cloud 2’s at this price nowadays

  • Hi all, so what are the differences between these gaming headsets and any regular headphones with mic as an example Sony headphones with mic, music controls and basic noise cancelling?

    • with DTS 7.1
