Original Coupon Deal
RRP is obviously ridiculous but I like the fact this one comes with the old style sharpener so I don’t have to go searching through my cupboards to find my sharpener. I don’t have experience with the brand but think for $69.30 it seems like good value. I was buying some forks so got to combine postage for $12 total for 3 items.

This set has a honing steel. It is not for sharpening and you cannot sharpen a knife on a honing steel. It is for re-honing the burr that forms during normal use. To sharpen a knife you need a sharpening stone.
Don’t want to be confrontational but you probably should try a dictionary : Hone, a verb : 1. sharpen (a blade)… If you are requiring a sharpening stone to sharpen your kitchen knives, you should probably stop cutting trees down with them. Just saying.
The dictionary definition is too simplistic. Honing is reshaping the alignment of the edge and sharpening removes material to create a new edge. Here are a number of articles explaining the difference:

Thank you for this – picked up a set for my Mum. :)
5 cooking knives for $70 doesn't seem like that much of a deal…
Oh good.. I was worried for a moment because I haven't seen any deals on knife sets in the last 5hr on OZ bargains.
To the OP.. not having a personal dig at you.. just finding it amusing how many deals have been posted lately on the site :P
Pretty good deal. Also a honing rod isn’t really a sharpener.
