In a normal block each knife only goes into one place so you don't need to look at the knife first. You just take the knife from the correct place.
With 6 knives it is hard to remember which is where… I save my brain cells to remember more important things

I must say that I have never tried the sharpener myself (it’s actually arriving today). I’m assuming the 3 is better but I just went with the 2 because of the price difference.
I have the 3 wheel and it's great.
2 wheels is enough.
You only need to sharpen maybe once a year? Depending on your use. it only costs $1 per cm to have them professionally sharpened which is worth it.
What? Around $60 to sharpen these knives… Major ripp off. I have the sharpening wheels and they last forever with a once of cost around half that.

Many will tell you that the Takumi set of 5 is a more useful set than the 6 knife set in the Ikasu or Synergy.
The magnetic wood block is certainly a better holder and better for the knives.

Highly recommend this set, I bought this set maybe 3 years ago now for 300+ and don't regret it, they are great knives and are super sharp and only now considering buying a sharpener for some of the most used knives. At 233, these are a great deal.
Agree, I paid high 200's about 4 or 5 years ago and these are great knives.
Reviews online are hit and miss, talk about rust spots and going blunt etc, but if you take care of them, great knives.
