Sorry for the ignorant question but what's the difference between the F100A and this F80 model?
Is it just the supported weight, screen size and the integrated USB ports (in the F100A but not F80)?
      Thanks.

  • This looks perfect for my 27" screen. However, I don't have a hole for the grommet installation and the front and rear of my desk is encased in a rounded metal frame in order to soften the edges of the desk. It makes the other installation tricky. However, there is a 5mm gap between the wooden desk and the metal frame and I'm wondering how thick the back edge of the edge installation bracket is? It doesn't look very thick (less than 5mm) but there are two rivets that also stick out of it. Would that make it more than 5mm?

    • Yes, you are going to run into issues if it is that tight unfortunately.
The new quick adjust clamp mount has some studs on the back that lock the clamp mechanism into place on the upright and the upright is curved a bit as well.

      • While we discussing mounting, could the wind up part of the clamp be removed and the backing plate be screwed into the desk instead? Are there any holes already in the backing plate? My desk is 5" thick, but I'd be happy to screw/bolt into that back of it. Thanks.

        • Look at 00:06 of the installation video. You could essentially get a longer bolt from local bunnings to grommet fit on your 5" desk.

I have two singles on my desk.

They are great but I wish they could go higher. On of my monitors has the Versa bracket holes high on the back so the monitor sits very low with no way to increase.

    • +8

Can you mount the screen up the other way and invert the monitor image?

      • +1

Mother of god I love you. Thanks for the idea!!

    • +5

I have two singles on my desk.

      Were they from your area?

(btw if you're handy you can use this to make an extension)

  • +2

Can this be mounted on a glass desk?
The no pics showing the mounting clearly.

    • +1

Hi, yes you can mount this on a glass table top as long as it is 10mm thick toughened glass. The base has rubber pads so it won't scratch or cause any issues that way.
      I hope this information helps.

Just a note: Anyone buying this for Samsung LU28R550UQEXXY model , it doesn't fit. As the monitor has a curve on back and this stand mount doesn't fit in the curve. Didn't research properly and now it's sitting in my storage.

    • Thanks for the warning.

    • +1

Anyone buying this for Samsung LU28R550UQEXXY model , it doesn't fit.

Just a thought, would you be able to cut a piece of wood to fit and screw that into the monitor, then screw the mount into the wood?

Or get longer screws and fit a spacer in between the mount and the monitor?

    • Thanks just bought that monitor and was wondering about compatibility. I read it only takes a 75x75 Vesa connection, is that what you are referring to being incompatible?

    • ill buy the stand off you if you want

    • Thanks for the warning. I have the same monitor and would have loved this. I even ordered the arm, but thankfully read your comment just after and could still cancel it!

Edit: The Samsung site says a 75x75 mount should fit and this arm’s specifications also say that it supports 75x75. Strange it still doesn’t work.. :(

      • The arm had a plate that supports 100x100 and 75x75. Which is fine for monitors that have a flat back and no recess. I'm guessing your monitor has a small recess that would only fit a 75x75 vesa plate.

  • I would like a second opinion pls. I ask a supplier if I could use the stand on my glass top desk. The answer was yes as long the glass is at least 10mm thick minimum which mine is.

So will this be a go for me then? Thanks.

    • use a piece of cardboard or wood outside of the glass desk for extra protection.

  • Does upright lift distance mean the centre of the monitor will be roughly 26cm high?

    • The upright lift distance is the travel of the arm from lowest to highest on the gas strut. The maximum height on this new version to the centre of the VESA Mount is 415, so about 20mm taller than the previous one.

      • Is there a comparison somewhere between the F80 and F100?

      • Awesome, does that also apply to the new F100A? - it's travel distance is 345mm so if the minimum is similar that should hold, I need at least 380mm to centre of mount.

  • I bought one of these during the previous offer and mounted it to a Bekant desk with a DELL U2717D, but I've found that it's prone to annoying monitor wobble with even the slightest movement (such as typing) on the desk.:(

    • Wouldn't any monitor or mount wobble unless you mounted it to the wall or the ground?

    • +1

We had this complaint a couple of weeks ago and after more carefull checking, he found the movement was the desktop. It only takes a tiny amount to result in significant movement at the end of the arm. If the desk flexes, an easy fix is to place a larger piece of timber under the desk to stiffen that section. All the joints in this arm can also be tightened if necessary.
      Hope this helps.

    • +3

I believe that's an issue with the Bekant desk itself (it has some wobble), rather than the mount. I have the Idasen desk, which is more stable, and I don't have any issues with wobbling unless I purposefully try to wobble the desk. And if I do wobble the desk, the monitors on arms don't wobble any more than my centre monitor (which is on it's own stand).

Granted, I'm using 24" monitors, so YMMV. Although, one of my 24" monitors is very old, so it's quite heavy!

Edit: I should also mention that I have mounted two F80 to the sides of my Idasen (one on each side), along the central axis where the frame/legs sit - so my setup probably gives the maximum stability.

      • Yeah it could be combination of the arm and the desk itself, but with the factory stand, there is zero wobble. I might try the the additional timber trick but I think I'll end up having to replace it with a wall mount.

    • im using the same desk…

time to stay with monitor stand…

Any suggestions about dual monitors arm? Thx

    • There was a deal on a dual arm from this same manufactured on Banggood a week or two ago. I was initially temped but there was a number of commenters saying they found two single arms to be a better solution. Might be worth considering. This was the deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/543539

Can you remove the yellow NB stickers?

    • +1

You can on this model so I assume you can on this one as well.

    • If all else fails, just a bit of black electrical tape over it lol

    • black sharpie

  • I can't see any screw or hole at the back of my monitor.

    • brand and model? it may not be VESA mount compatible.

  • I can't tell if this stand has the 2 usb ports at the front??

    • There are two holes for USB ports on the base, but they are blocked off by a piece which is screwed in. I imagine you could unscrew this piece to fit USB extension sockets, to act as USB ports (but can't confirm this - didn't see anything in the manual about it).

Rep should be able to confirm.

      • +1

I've seen it on a youtube review you can pull the piece off and attach USB cables.

  • +2

what's new about this? already have two of the old ones.

  • OP, do you have a wall mount for a TV which allows it to be mounted sideways from the wall?

TV is JVC LT-48N770, 48“ 10.1kg so would need to come out at least 550mm from the wall.

I think this would do it.
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32524946487.html

  • Op do you have any tall monitor mounts? I already have this mount and it is great but I need another one that can mount a 34" ultrawide above, but the height for this one doesn't go high enough.

  • Do you have a deal on a Dual Monitor Desk Mount?

  • I guess it does not come with a mount plate?

    • Not sure what you mean as it includes a clamp mount and a grommet mount kit, so it can clamp onto a desk up to 90mm thick or drill a hole and bolt it down with included grommet mount bolt and plate.

  • Hope I don't need an extra long cable to use this!

  • Will this be usable if I keep my desk right up against the wall? It looks like the "elbow" might need some space.

  • Edit: Meant to reply to the RCMD11's question above.

  • D'oh showing out of stock.
Had it in cart and then added something else and then gone. Ah well.

  • No longer available…

  • Currently unavailable.

  • Availability of stock has come to an untimely end.

    • It took three weeks with Amazon to finally fix the UPC code issue and we could not send more stock till that was solved. Sorry.

      • +1

All good - I already ordered and received two from the previous deal!

(I was just light-heartedly, with no offense intended, poking fun at the multiple comments in a row that it was no longer available!) :)

  • Hi OP/Rep - any chance you could add a few more? Just missed out. TIA!

    • +5

579 gone this afternoon. We will be providing another stock shipment on Monday but hard to tell if it will make it into stock with Amazon in time for the sale ends on the 30th. Fingers crossed.

      • +1

is the sale discount determined by amazon? no way you can just offer teh same deal yourself?

      • any word on how the new stock shipment is going?

        • NEW Model F80 back in stock now. The Dual screen F160 is there on sale as well.

    • NEW Model F80 back in stock now. The Dual screen F160 is there on sale as well.

  • Any chance of a discount on your FC40-B? Noticed it's not on Amazon.

    • Hi and thanks for asking. Unfortunately, we have a very small stock and and no volume discount available to us for that and many other models, so we just provide the best price we can up front.
      Cheers.

Got this on the last screenmounts deal.
Holding up my Dell 38 inch ultrawide @ 9.05kg… very solid, very happy
    absolute bargain

  • I need something higher than the spec'd max desk to bottom of 27" screen height of 260mm (~450 to centre of monitor plate) - any suggestions?

  • My order is saying it won't be delivered until mid-July…. Is that normal?

    • +1

This is an Amazon FBA order and there are still 237 units to be dispatched, but they do get on to it pretty quickly.
You should see it mid to late next week depending on where you are. We are unable to influence this at all.
      I hope this helps.

  • Couldn’t get this to work with the Acer X34, which is a shame. Bottom screws wouldn’t go in all the way and the monitor seems to be too heavy (~8kg).

Any suggestions / tips would be more than welcome!

    • NEW Model F80 back in stock now. The Dual screen F160 is there on sale as well.

  • Have you adjusted the Torque Adjusting screw once you have installed the monitor? Make sure you go to the + direction if it is not holding it up. Counterclockwise.
8kg is in the new range, so quite possibly just a couple of turns of that adjusting screw will fix the issue.
If the screws won't go all the way in, they might be really shallow holes and you should put some washers under the screws so they don't go in too far and damage the screen.
    I hope this information helps.
    Kind regards,
    Screen Mounts Australia

    • Yep, went towards the + when adjusting it and that didn’t help. I went all the way until it wouldn’t let me anymore. The only one I adjusted was the screw that’s on top of the connection between the two arms.

Might give it another go later, but had put the stand back on after admitting defeat!
I’m using the original screws as the holes are really shallow and even then, it wouldn’t go all the way in. I’ll need to put something in between if I can get the weight balance right.

  • Op, would be interested in this if it's back in stock. How tall can I lift the monitor with this one? I currently have a 24 inch and would like to put a monitor on top of it. Would this be able to easily cover this vertical lift? (i.e. the monitor mounted on this lift to sit on top of my current monitor.

if you are wondering, it is because I'm planning of running a 4 monitor setups. Currently already have 3 monitor next to each other. So would like to insert a 4th monitor on top my of middle monitor (hope the portrayal makes sense)

    • +2

Hi, you are going to be limited by the length and reach of the arms. The F80 and dual screen F160 have the same reach and just won't allow you to go over the top.
We have a new model called the H80 and H160 arriving in a little over a week and they have a pole mount which provides more height range.
      Stay tunned to screenmounts.com.au website.

      • H80 and H160

Oooh, can we have a deal on these, rep? :)

        • We will see….

      • Thanks for the insight. Will keep a lookout

  • Mine arrived today. Easy setup. Sturdy, great for the price.

    • Mine today, already installed on a 34" Ultrawide (Acer Predator x34p).

Look forward to seeing how it goes over time.

  • +1

    FYI Stock is back.

  • +3

Yesss, we finally fixed the ASIN Code issue with a new listing and this allowed the new stock to go straight into the FC. 1,000 units available expiring on the 30th or whenever stock sells out. That is all.

  • Just bought another one with the restock. Thanks

  • Hi OP, unable to achieve the second configuration with the base being flat and lined up to the arm? See image circled. Can set to first configuration just not second.

It will either sit to the left or right in that configuration but not dead centre.

  • Hi, I think there is a stop in the base that prevents you from just going around and around and twisting up your cables. Is this waht you are referring to?

    • Yeah that 'stop' in the base prevents it from being lined up straight with the arm. It will either sit just to the left or to the right.

Just an odd engineering/ design choice, not the end of the world but makes me a little OCD that they don't line up.

      **edit see pic

      • I guess they have to put the stop somewhere so there will always be situations where it is in the wrong place for some users. Sorry about that..

        • Is there a way to remove the stop?

          • +1

@caprimulgus: It would be cast into the Alloy base, so to remove it you would need to take it apart and remove the stop with a dremel or something similar.

  • Back in stock and purchased. Thanks

  • +1

Is the white model (F100) still on track for 29th? Any idea on price when it goes on sale? Otherwise will grab this.

    • +1

Well we are still expecting the vessel to arrive on the 29th and then a couple of days for clearance, delivery and unpacking when the containers arrive. The White versions of both F100A and F195A are unlikely to go on special as we simply don't have the volume and they are not discounted at all from the manufacturer, so they will be the normal discounted Amazon price of $87.95. They cost more than twice as much as the F80 model, and have no manufacturer rebates for Amazon, so our small margins are even smaller on these units.

      • Thanks for the reply and the info. Will grab a F80. Cheers!

  • Word of warning for anyone buying this for the LG 27GL850-B the VESA mounting plate won't fit unless you're able to file down the top corners by about 2mm.

It's because the 27GL850-B has a recessed mounting area with curved corners. I also had to file down one of the bottom corners too just because the paint coating on the mounting plate was a bit too thick and uneven.

Unfortunately I didn't think to take a photo of it to share here, but after the fix it fits quite snugly.

  • Thanks OP. Great deal. Grabbed 2 for my new monitors!
