Jumped on this deal back in Feb through Cashrewards and patiently waited as it showed as pending in My Rewards.
When the cashback never showed up as confirmed after the estimated approval date, I sent off an enquiry to see what was going on.
I was told that the "sale did not track and why the store has declined your cashback is that Cashrewards has not been attributed to your sale. This means that another marketing channel received a commission on your purchase and we have not been paid for your purchase. Because of this, we do not have any funds from the store to pass on to you in the form of cashback."
I'm a little bit of a loss right now why this happened, I followed all the usual steps when tracking a sale but am now out about $113 USD. For the record, I tried paying twice with my Up debit card which both failed, before I ended up paying with my CBA debit card which worked. I clicked through Cashrewards on each purchase attempt.
Anyone have an similar experience with declined cashbacks or NordVPN in particular? Any help is appreciated.
