    • Australian version of S20 range uses a Exynos chipset, versus the snapdragon 865 one on the oppo.

I suggest watching the following video to see if the compromise is okay with you:
      https://youtu.be/6CUSe8kgIE8

    • Yes, S20+ and Samsung UI isn't worth after using this phone. Thats my personal opinion, and others may differ.

    • Snapdragon is better than Exynos this year. The ability to use 1440p 120 Hz is bettter than 1080p 120 hz.

    • Just played with both phones in store. The oppo is a better full stop.

Build quality feels far more premium. Video stability is out of this world, and still retains quality.

I would definitely go for the oppo than the Samsung. But I have an s10+ including the dex set up. It's too early for an upgrade. Plus 5g isn't too important at the moment (for me).

      I was very tempted though.

  • I'm using a boost prepaid at the moment. Could I get this deal sign up, pay one month and pay the cancellation fee and go back to my boost prepaid?

If I wasn't on boost prepaid. I'd go for this straight away. Damn pixel 2XL having Bluetooth connectivity issues.

    • You can port in from Boost to Telstra to avail this deal. Its just that porting in and out on the same Network takes time. Better get a $2 prepaid SIM of Optus, port from Boost to Optus that will take 5-10 minutes to complete, and then go to JB hifi to port from Optus to Telstra, that will again be instant.

Thanks for the advice man. Will do that instead.

      • Boost ports are explicitly excluded for this deal.

        • He can try the way I mentioned above.

      • I am also with boost prepaid at the moment, do you think your method will work? Have anyone done it before?
        Thanks for the deal btw

        • Go and directly ask JB Hifi staff. They are usually very supportive and will guide you.

          • @OZBsince2018: I Just asked them, Boost sim is considered as telstra so any porting out will have a 30days waiting period, and this deal finished tomorrow. So i signed up for a new number and will use 2 sims

  • Last Orange in WA sold, sold out now!

  • What would be the ETC for this phone?

Had some odd issues with Telstra and the credit check for my partner so I just signed up under my name instead. Phone is absolutely incredible. Thanks heaps OP!

I got one - if anyone is interested for salary sacrificing, receipt shows full purchase price.

  • Bought this deal, thanks OP.
Ported from Aldi Mobile, store was super busy so about 30-40mins for the whole process.
They show you the first bill which is a part month plus the following month. Positive side would be if you called up and immediately cancelled that would also be pro-rata. I don't need international calls so I'm happy with the plan.

I used the Suncorp 5% Discount gift cards to pay the $799

    • do the suncorp ones deliver instantly? point being maybe id like to buy some off you in the next 20 mins

      • Yes

  • I own the S20 ultra as well. I got this phone a day before from JBHIFI at $799. I cant believe i am going to say this, but the phone is a lot smoother than the s20 ultra. FYI the camera is insane on the oppo as compared to the s20 ultra (exynos). Check youtube reviews, the camera post processing on the exynos sucks as compared to the Snapdragon 865. And weirdly i clicked pictures side by side on the s20 ultra (exynos) and the oppo find x2 pro, they look better on the oppo. I was a little worried while buying this phone since i am a Samsung loyalist but trust me… go for it. I am sure a lot of people are going to sell their JBHIFI offer on EBAY soon…. :P so even if you have missed out i am sure it will still be cheaper.

Can't agree more. Note 10+ user moved to this phone. Honestly speaking, much better phone, simple UI, better RAM management, camera etc.

Thanks OP and everyone else giving their review on the phone, partner been a Samsung user for over 10 years and was going to jump into the S20 Ultra, but the lack of SD and other deficiencies compared to SD made us jump to Oppo.

JB attendant was great and went straight to talk about the offer of the $10 credit and double the data from Telstra.

    • S20 ultra has sd card and wireless charging.

The oppo doesn't have those two things. But it has 512gb….

  • So these deals ever return? Kinda regretting not grabbing one today.

    • Can't say. May be in last week of June as final EOFY deals.

    • find x2 pro will be 599 and 20dollar off plan

      Just kidding. Here's hoping though

    • Apparently this deal is back. Please see comments below.

Took a plunge and picked one up just before store closed, now to figure out moving everything from iOS to android

  • I went to to one of the Canberra stores today just before it closed, it showed 1 in the system but when I got there they didn't have any, I signed up with belong like 10 days ago so opted for new number at this stage, they handed me a gift card for $400 for now, they couldn't confirm stocks for other stores as they were all closed, so I'll need to visit them twice again, first to go and put the order in with gift card tomorrow with order confirmation and then go back to the store and pick it up whenever they get it. Was tempted to go for S20+ because they had 1 left in store but glad I didn't after looking at reviews.

  • I think this deal is active again!

    • Where did you see it?

      • At JBHIFI Forrest Chase, the one above Woolsworth.

          • @nicholastyc: They forgot to take the sign down. The expiry date is handwritten as 21.6. That's yesterday.

            • @scrimshaw: Sorry guys, I didn't know that's the expiry date… thought that is the date they put it up!

TBH, no harm to ask the JB staff for the deal. They might extend it again!

  • Good for those who missed out on this deal earlier.

Hoping this comes back before EOFY.

Some places will honour it at $65/month. $800 and $55/mo is just too good.

    Nice deal. Thanks OP.
