I'll start with observations of..
Vehicles,
Technology - laptops, phones, headphones and other random gadgets.
Kitchen white goods.

It is only a deal if you need it. Otherwise it is just incremental spend on stuff you don't need.
Without international travel (TRS) I'd say unless it is large appliances replacements I am out.
I am surprised that big screen TVs were one of the biggest selling items at start of COVID.
Since WFH I'd doubt I'd be buying a car. Lucky we have low incidences of COVID, in other countries ride sharing drivers have caught COVID from passengers and died.
Seeing you mentioned phone, Is purchase of phone price deductible when doing personal income tax return? I am in the market for Iphone 11 pro Max.
Anything is deductible so long as you can show a direct linkage between it and your derivation of income.
