If your card doesn't work, just buy gift card via Amazon US
There are some sellers selling US eshop cards at a discount but you need to find reputable ones so they are not purchased with stolen credit cards.
I've used the Japanese eshop with paypal + my 28 degrees card successfully.
When was it? I tried 28degrees card and Paypal from Mexico, Canada 2 weeks ago..
Mine was 2-3 weeks ago as well. Although one thing that might have been different is that I set up a new paypal with a Japanese (random) address, then attached my card to that.
@frogduck: Thanks! I think that is how I should do as well.
I use target USA, pay with PayPal
Had an account from a good deal on digital Cuphead and Hotline Miami a while back
so how do we go about accessing the US Eshop?
If you have no balance on your account, you can change regions. Otherwise, register a separate email address and create a US account. Then you can buy gift cards from Target US. When you make your first US eshop purchase it will all you a postcode for tax, find one from a city/ state that doesn't have sales taxes or they will be added on.
Just said the same but missed the sales tax tip
After a bit of a fight with Nintendo <> Paypal websites I was able to set up a US PayPal account and have my ING card registered, placed the order after that.
Did you setup a US PayPal account with a phone number?
yep, I’ve entered a non existent number and soon after I’ve placed the order I’ve unlinked my card from the account. Also enabled 2 factor authentication.
Thanks im trying to set this up now but I'm getting an error message "sorry, we weren’t able to set up preapproved payments at this time."
Did you use debit or CC?
@ferds: ING orange debit. I think I had this issue too, forgot to mention that I had to use VPN to create US PayPal account and place the order.
I bought Taiko No Tatsujin in Japan. It's disappointing because of a slight lag and lack of responsiveness in the joy-cons making it really frustrating and virtually impossible to play harder levels. It would probably be much better with the dedicated drum controller. There are some fun mini games, but the main game kind of sucked for me.
I saw a youtube reviewer tries all the different types of input, and he feels the touch screen is the best. As you said, the accuracy is not great for motion controlled joy-con.
You best is with with the Original Hori Drum Controller. The problem is finding one in reasonable price.
There are many third party ones but not much good feedback about them.
Love to hear if anyone has find way to source a good drum!!
There is an option to calibrate audio/display in the settings. I've completed many extreme difficulty songs with the joycons and love it :)
Make sure you play online, this months challenge: 50 unique songs = 1 free DLC song
I bought this for 45aud, of course not as good as the Japanese arcade machine with 200 odd songs but still decent fun.
Remember Donkey Konga only came with like 20 songs lolThe number of DLCs for Taiko No Tatsujin scares me a lot.
How do we use overseas eshop?
Is gift card only way? I tried Mexico last time and it didnt accept any of my card..
