Online Certificate IV (4) in Training and Assessment TAE40116 $890 @ Inspired Education

100

Was looking at the TAE course for myself, and saw that they did an EOFY sale last year as well https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/479283 - Currently their TAE course is the cheapest on offer and can be done 12 months and 100% online.

RPL options available as with any RTO.

Recommend you put the price in title, OP (seems to be $890)

TAE delivered 100% online sounds like a terrible idea.

Their google reviews mostly suck too.

I did mine online (not with these guys) and it was great. Of course I had to do practical elements and ask someone with training experience to observe; luckily I was able to do that through my work at the time.

Good to have an actual review from someone who is on ozbargain. I have done the face to face modules in another course/qualification which i will credit transfer. I'm always sceptical on google reviews

    • Depends on your use-case, I have most of the modules ready to credit transfer, just need to do 2-3 modules to pass so very affordable and realistic. They have online classroom options as well in the range of $1,200-300

  • I'm kind of confused, what does this course teach you? How to train?

      Train and assess

      • ah, the ol' T&A :P

Better to do it in a classroom environment, specially Tafe where you get quality training. Did it around three years back and it was fun, met people from various industries, did lot of presentations, took six months to complete. At that time cost was only $1500, all these online RTO's are just dodgy.

This qualification is to be paired with your industry experience/qualifications. If you do not have a background skill/trade then the qualification will be of little use to you and you probably won't qualify to enrol to start with.

Inspire are one of the more reputable and well known private TAE providers. Insipire and MRWEDare probably the only 2 private RTOs I would recommend to anyone. If you are going in to this as your first TAE certification (and not an upgrade) I would recommend a TAFE as a starting point. Employers know who the dodgy RTOs are and it helps when you have a reputable TAE qualification in your resume.

Like doctorwatson suggests, do it in the classroom, face to face. The TAE40116 is not a straightforward course to try and save a couple hundred bucks to do online.

I did my TAE40116 upgrade (from the old TAE40110) a few yrs back via Inspire F2F and can recommend them.

    • This paragraph pretty much sums it up:

      Entry Requirements

Those entering this program must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

I did this course with Inspire and it is not for the feint hearted. I did not complete and it's extremely hard.

  • I’ve doing blended with another institute it is extremely hard to understand training fundamentals if you’re not into the industry. Still struggling to complete please look for TAFE bit expensive but great outcome with decent support as this requires a lot of presentations and matrix.
