Same price as the deal at PLE. Also comes with a $40 Steam Code. Enjoy!

Shopping Express(shoppingexpress.com.au)

Update: Same price at Mwave, probably a more trustworthy site. Strangely the SKU for the one at SE is 24G2/75 despite being listed as 144hz, if someone could confirm whether this is 144hz that would be great.

This deal may still be better if you're okay paying upfront https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/542789 and have ebay plus.

For this deal i got $23+ for postage. Free pickup in Lidcombe, NSW though.

Looks like you'll be able to get the $40 steam promotion on either deal too

Indeed. But why only with eBay Plus?

      • Sorry my bad no eBay plus needed

  • How are these monitors? Is 23.8" a good monitor size for gaming?

24" is my favourite size, but this is all personal preference. It is the largest acceptable size for 1080p as many argue that at 27" 1440p as a must. The AOC 24G2 is considered the best budget gaming monitor, it's one of the cheapest with an IPS 144hz panel. The IPS being important as it is quite a pricey technology that allows great colours and viewing angles. I personally wouldn't go 27" as then I have to go to 1440p, and then I need to upgrade GPU more often, but if you're ready to spend the cash to fuel the resolution then 1440p 27" is a great experience.

      • what do you mean by upgrading your gpu more often?

        • A GPU won't remain relevant for 1440p as long as it would 1080p. That or you upgrade to more expensive GPUs at the same frequency.

      • 1080p at 27" is so debatable. Honestly, people say "you'll notice the pixels" however, if you're sitting at a normal distance and have a good IPS display you won't notice them. Best bet though is to go to a store and have a look for yourself. If you do notice them, it'll be on like word docs and your browser but not gaming.

I dunno about IPS affecting it, but my eyes are about 60cm from my 24" monitor and I feel like anything bigger would need 1440p. I've never seen the difference, and I don't intend to otherwise I will need it.
