Hi, I came across this at the Reject Shop and it looked like a good deal to me. Normally $19 for one box, $30 for two.

I've been liking the Woolies once at 0.12c each. Great score by Choice too
    https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/683014/shi…

    • +1 for these. They get the job done.

    • How do these compare to the Aldi platinum ones? Been using the Aldi for a few years now and very happy.

      • +1

Basically the same score/price as Aldi, but the ethical rating for Woolies was F (worst), and Aldi was C.

        • Ok. So Aldi's are less scummy then?

    • Thanks for that.

    • I'll have to try them in a couple of years. Got two boxes of Finish to get through now!

    • I found the Shine ones were pretty average compared to the Kirkland brand ones at Costco which are about $0.16 each.

    • Be careful these started making my cutlery rust…

      • Oh! Which one, the Woollies Shine tablets (Or Kirkland / Finish)?

        • +1

The woollies shine. It took me a while to figure out as they were brand new cutlery. I was cleaning mild rust after every wash. I moved on to Fairy tablets and the issue went away :) As a side note I stared with Finish but they weren’t washing my dishes as well as expected and they kind of stunk. I’m sticking with a fairy for the time being.

          • @spliff tannen: ok! i got the 225x pack finish ones (again :D) so i might be stuck with them for a while. i might give fairy a trial when they go on sale.

  • It was $27 for 2x 110pc at Reject Shop like a month or two ago

Damn why didn't you post it?? I was looking through Ozbargain to see if this was a deal worth posting…. What's the consensus on a good deal pretty tablet for these then??

      • Never knew $30/2x 110pc of dishwashing tablet is considered a deal. I am more a tech guy than a househusband.

        • Yes, let's go with anything less than 25c per piece is a deal!! 60-80c per tablet is regular price range.

          • @the4thzodiac: Wish theres a script into the site code that can help determine whether one is a deal.

  • ALDI dishwashing tablets come from EU and Woolies from CN…not too sure about Finish? My Preference is to support local products…

      not too sure about Finish

      Finland of course

    • Poland according to CHOICE.

    • Finish ones are made in Poland (at least the Quantum ones).

  • I just bought a cheap Kogan dishwasher - I have a small unit and looking at the Kogan and Devanti 8 place benchtop dishwashers they appear to be identical but priced completely differently!. I've hardly used it so far but was searching through reviews of the dishwasher tablets because the pricing seems to have huge variation.. The higher rated tablets vs price appear to be the cheaper Aldi brand ones which are around 14c each normally (https://www.choice.com.au/home-and-living/kitchen/dishwasher…) - there were complaints I read on another site about the finish classic tablets not dissolving properly and being left in the machine (maybe a bad batch?) - I'm curious of results vs price but I'm guessing more expensive doesn't mean better in this case..

    • Haha I had this happen to me last night, but I think it was a big wooden spoon that was in front of the dispenser door that is supposed to open. I highly doubt a properly dispensed tablet of any brand wouldn't dissolve properly… Most likely user error.
I find if you put them in Powerball side up, the flat surface of the tablet holds it in the dispenser sometimes as well

  • I just got a dishwasher, not sure how to transition lol.

Cook > eat > put plates etc in dishwasher? Or fill sink and soak in the sink then load the dishwasher b4 bed and run overnight?

    Whats the norm!

    • +1

Cook > eat > scrape big bits into bin / quick rise > dishwasher.
If you have solar panels do it during the day otherwise doesnt matter

      • Skip the quick rinse (save water and effort!). Most dishwashers have the soak/pre-soak equivalent. If pots/pans/anything are heavily soiled etc, i just do a once over with a wet sponge to remove any sticking bits. comes out squeaky clean.

There is only one dishwashing tablet to rule them all…

    ALDI LOGIX…

Been using premium brand tablets for years and tried ALDI a few months ago….I will never go back to overpriced finish or Fairy tablets again!

    https://www.aldi.com.au/en/groceries/laundry-household/house…

    • So Aldi or Finish? now that they're both 14c per tablet…

    • Finish Powerball Quantum Ultimate cost 0.92c per wash. Aldi and Woolies ones perform same or better for 0.14c per wash. 0.78c saving every time! Those savings add up (0.8c of the 100pack of Wooles Shine)

      • I have been buying finish quantum for around 18-20 cents. Keep your eye and combine deals. I usually buy them from eBay.

  • Thanks for the people who up bored even though it seems like Finish are inferior products haha
