Any advice on how this compares to a low end 75" 4K TV e.g. TCL?

    • +11

Yeps. One is a projector and one is a TV.

    • TV wins on PQ hands down.

If you're looking at 75" just get a tv.

Better question would be: do I need 100" plus and are the drawbacks of projectors worth it?

      • +2

Disagree. This projector has better picture quality than my 65inch Samsung 4K TV.

    Things I don't need! ….but

Costco has the same model for $1599 since last year.

    • +1

Yep, got one for that price. Great projector.

  • No lens shift is a deal breaker.

  • Anyone know price of replacement bulb?

  • Wondering if anyone has any leads on good Ultra short throw projectors,

    Two leads for me are

    • xiaomi mi mijia laser projector
    • LG PF1000UW

Both pretty expensive though, so open to other models

    • i am also after the ust….. still deciding on the optoma eh330ust or mijia laser projector

      • But jeez they are just so expensive, $2,300 for essentially a TV. Cray. Feel like i would rather spend it on HiFi

        • 2k is a lot for a decent long throw projector… but there are still lots of pros using the UST

  • Anybody have experience with this projector?

    • +1

      Yes, its great.

Costco has better price $1599 than UMart

    • +1

Bought it yesterday on that price

      • How is it, some have mentioned it has very loud fan?

        • Few DBLs more but much better than our previous Epson

          • +1

@krags: Ok I am going to get one cause apparently costco has satisfaction guarantee policy, with projectors you can only know if it will fit and fill your unqiue room size once testing it, Costco said I can return it if doesn't fit room.

      • Where? Prices seem to be $2k plus now
