I realise you guys are having a hard time getting a new deal each day but why is this a national deal (on every state page) when they only appear to be in Kogarah NSW? Location or state should be in your title also.

    where is the melbourne deal?

    • +2

      in Kogarah NSW apparently…

long drive to save a few $$

      • +3

Yeah, but you do get a free coffee to keep you awake for the drive home.

        • +10

Yeah, but when I get home I'll have to wash the car again to get all the bugs off :(

        • what BMW is that?
          and im the real zoolander

  • +2

This deal is subsided by the NSW authority from their camera and speed fine revenue.

  • +3

Never could understand why people would pay for a car wash when you can do it yourself for free.

    • +4

      because we're lazy

    • cause we're all too busy tweeting about and using these great deals

      • The last time I paid for a car wash was nearly 10 years ago. If over that 10 year period I had paid for them rather than done them myself (assuming 1 wash every 2 weeks @ $25/wash), I would be $6500 poorer.

        • $25 ten years would probably be more than $25 in today's dollar value. Might want to revise your math there.

I am agreeing that there is a significant amount of savings there.

        • The $25 figure was an average. 10 years ago a wash was usually no more than $20 now it's closer to $30 so I took a figure of $25.

      • tax reasons
      • time to wash a car and buy products, you probably earn more in your daily work.
      • cbf
      • dont know how to wash a car properly
      • water restrictions in certain states. washing with bucket restrictions at car washes. brushes scratch your car..depending on particular you are about your car's paint etc
  • Jesus christ do you really wash your car every two weeks?

    • No, usually once per week. With Melbourne rain my car gets quite dirty.

    • Of course he doesnt. Makes his dollar figure more pronounced though. ;)

      • I wash it whenever it gets dirty and needs to be washed. If this means having to do it 2 times a week, then I do it. Sometimes it might be once every 3 weeks. However on average, it's about once every 2 weeks, with some minor dusting/detailing in between washes.

        • Was just stirring. I know plenty of car aficionados who are worse still.

    Watch out!

Reports of being unable to contact this business in order to make a booking.

"Not sure if the fact that I used a voucher to purchase my wash/detail made a difference but very unhappy here…
Firstly, trying to get hold of these people was a nightmare. They have no landline and no one answers the mobile number which is listed on their "under construction" website, and they don't respond within days of an email… to have your car cleaned there you need to make a booking because it's the first carwash in existance that apparently has a "three month waiting list"… "

    "This place sucks.
Why are these people running new deals when they cant cope with an earlier one. All attempts to contact them are fruitless, not even a standard reply email to say they are overloaded, whatever."

Not sure where you've gotten that from but that is NOT our deal.

You DO NOT need to make a booking to use this Qoopon.

You simply rock up with your 6 digit Qoopon code (either printed, SMS'd or via m.qoop.com.au). No booking/reservation is needed.

would be nice if such deals doesn't come with the 'freebies' and focused on the quality of the service instead…. i just need to find a cheap place that does these wax/polish/wash properly.

don't get me wrong, am not knocking this deal, i am just fed up of the treatment i get from business owners whenever i rock up with a 'voucher', and they start to cut corners. it's like a billboard that says "I'm a cheapskate, please provide me sub-par service".

When they should be seeing this as a "I don't know if you guys are good, i'm trying out with this cheap package, and will be a returning customer if i'm happy." message

    • Totally agree with you slowmo.

We educate merchants to treat our customers like normal customers - because essentially, this is more about getting them repeat customers rather than one-off's.

  • Great deal, but Kogarah is just a bit too far for me.

  • Not sure I'd risk my car for a $9 wash and wax… probably come back with $500 worth of swirls.

  • hm.. outside wash only - no inside vacuum. Dealbreaker for me - i usually take it for a wash because im too lazy to vacuum the interior. Exterior gets a wash when it rains heavy enufff ;)
