What Do You Wear to Work?

What do you wear to work?

With the work from home episode of life coming to an end for a large number of Australians. I have to admit I have grown quite fond of spending 98% of my life either in sweatpants and PJs and will soon have to put on slacks – with a neat casual set up in my office I'm savouring my last few days of Ugg boots and bits of biscuit crumbs on top…because i know next month it is all over…..

    Clothes.

    • Dammit. Beat us all to the punch.

    • Unless OP works at MGs…

The same stuff when I was still going to work outside of the home. Even wear perfume even though it's just my family at home (I stopped wearing a watch though)

So I assume you don't wear a hoodie?

And the stalking continues … Remember your own advice? Don't bother responding if it's not helpful?

Why did you say women shouldn’t wear hoodies? Pretty dumb comment, my dude.

      • Literally obsessed.

@kerfuffle: Funny, he can follow and harrass a random on the internet because he thinks women shouldn't wear hoodies, but can't tell his wife he doesn't want to drive all the time.

    Uniform

  • Nothing.

I work in a nudist colony.

    • I wear a penis gourd.

I work in the highlands of New Guinea.

I've been to the highlands of New Guinea. I'd recommend you wear a bulletproof vest and bring an automatic rifle as well.

My gourd is impervious to machete attack.

    • How do you distinguish the employees from the customers?

    • can you tell me where you work.
      you know, for research purpose.

  • T-shirt and chino

  • Shirt, scrubs and jumper. Sometimes a space suit.

If I had to work in an office i'd wear a soft knit top and/or softened and ironed office shirt with chinos and boots cleaned daily. Working from home, last night's underwear if im in bed or whatever is piled on the floor if it is cold.

Stockings, short black boots, knee length dress, cardigan or shrug. I have about 12 dresses and 6 pairs of stockings and just rotate.

I like wearing dresses as there's only one piece of clothing to figure out instead of two. And no risk of flashing skin in the midsection if you have to bend over or raise your arms above your head.

    • This is actually a good plan! How do you find it works in the cold and wet weather though?

      • I have a long sleeve wool jacket for when it is super cold, and I find stockings are warm enough for my brief forays outside
Rain is not much fun, boots not waterproof, but just have to try to avoid puddles
I tend to run hot and don't cope in hot weather at all, love the cold weather. Where you see most people in gloves and beanies and scarfs I've probably just got a elbow length sleeved cardigan!
Another reason I don't like formal work pants is that they all seem to either be nearly falling off, or if they fit when standing they cut in my belly when sitting down. Have never managed to find a truly comfortable pair

  • Jean with boots, but always Dark Indigo Denim or Black and rotate the Indigo out once it starts to gets worn looking. Then a selection of Uniqlo shirts in either solid or not to lairy checks. I'm in Telecommunications/Construction. WFH I wear slippers instead of boots.

  • A uniform - company polo, black uniqlo pants, safety boots

  • I'll be back in the bag o' fruit.

  • PPE

  • High Vis - it's not quite the same as trashy PJ's, but it's nice that it's all provided. All you have to do is wear it, wash it and not worry about how it looks.

I'm wearing casual style jeans, shirts, as well as skirts, sometimes long ones. I like to wear good clothes even t home. When I work online I usually wear a good top and jeans or a dark skirt. And perfume, of course. Not mentioning the hairstyle. It should be neat and casual, both. I don't use makeup usually, but I like mascara. Whem I am in the mood, I also put on a blouse, and some accessories.

    • This is all me.. in theory.

In reality I chuck on the first things I can find and if I have 5 minutes to spare before I run out I'll put some makeup on. I'll put jewellery in my bag to put on when I'm on the train but I usually forget.
