Just a warning to stay on top of these as shopback and the retailers have been dodgy in not honouring the cashback in my experience.
To add my review of Shopback to the mix, I've never had an issue and received over $500 in cashback. Very much prefer the website and process to Cashrewards as well.
When you think about how the tracking works, I would recommend doing the following:
- Have your cart in a separate browser than the one you do the cashback click through (i.e. fresh browser with empty cart with all items added after the click through) - or screenshot items you want to a word doc or something
- Do not press the back key at all during the purchase process. if you make a mistake, empty the cart, close the window and start again.
- Do not have separate tabs/windows open of the same site
- Use a 'tracking friendly' browser (e.g. Chrome) on a desktop, with no extensions blocking ads, cookies etc at all. Don't use something like firefox or safari despite what compatibility notes might say, as these browsers have AI/hidden features which block ads and tracking
- No VPNs, Private browsing or obfuscation of any kind
Fair enough. I've got close to $200. My problem is that it works fine for smaller purchases but fails for the bigger ones.
Agreed. My smaller ones always tracks fine - a lot of them I'd argue shouldn't even be eligible but they go through fine. The upsized ones are always a gamble.
Why can't gift cards + shopback be used for iconic?
Going through the mens section on the iconic and there's a lot of items that keep showing up 3 or 4 times after going to the next page!
Beware. Shopback’s last Iconic upsized deal I did everything correctly, no browser extensions, clicked through their site, and nothing tracked. Customer service sent me an automatic declined message when I tried to follow up.
The other deal also has a lot of others experiencing the same.
Not downvoting the OP. I had a tracking issue with Shopback a while ago on a First Choice Liquor deal SB were running. I missed out on approx $65 cashback. I followed their instructions to the letter, having not had any issues tracking lesser value cashback claims prior with the same method. Anyhow..their support was lacking (sent me generic replies) and my claim was not resolved. I will not be using them again because of it.

For those with tracking issues. Try opening up an incognito window and start fresh from there. Hasn't failed me yet
- Log into site you want to use in incognito
- Make sure your Cart is empty
- Open new tab to shopback > login> click through deal link
- Do you order in the same tab Shopback has taken you to the store via the deal link or if its opened a new tab use that.
- Shop and you know the rest

Most of the issues are due to Shopback’s systems - the reps have even admitted that it was their system’s fault in other SB deals (check the alcohol ones)
I get the feeling that it tracks fine and SB get the money. But they withhold it and then either reject the claim or freely give compensation credit.
Do you know if VALUE60 is a valid coupon code for cashback with Shopback?

watchout for shopback - i had to contact them for my cashback as it was calculated incorrectly (yes i factored in gst and tax too) The customer service staff did refunded me the extra owing in the end but sucks that we have to alawyas check
The 30% at Iconic is good enough, the cashback gets you to 34.5% - hopefully Shopback tracks. I want my $30 bucks but there's a part of me that just knows it didn't track. Using a phone is not ideal, but one thing they've got going is that I never closed the tab on my phone. I stayed in that store like it was brick and mortar.

Poor experience with ShopBack. It's not just 'bonus'. It can effectively sway a buyer's decision on where to buy.

Thanks, my transaction tracked after 10mins. Sorry to hear other people’s experience. I’ve only ever had an issue with an upsize flashsale purchase once and once I submitted a query it was added no problem. I only use app if that helps.
Shopback should change their name to Sh-tback.
Cashback tracking is extremely unreliable and always in their favour.
Another unhappy customer with ShopBack. I made a large transaction of $280 with the last promotion through First Choice. The cashback was tracking, then was later rejected. ShopBack were able to pay me only $30, although I was expecting a lot more from my cashback. The customer service rep did not budge, and insisted that the $30 I had received in cashback was a good resolution. I will be passing up on these offers with ShopBack due to this negative experience.
If only CashRewards would match the iHerb deal. Never had issues getting my cashback from them.
