I thought this was a good deal when I was in First Choice Liquor earlier.

Good beer for $35. Far better than the Arc Valley / Hammer N Tongs cheapies.

Edit 1/6: Appears no delivery to QLD.

I really like the Steamrail Pale Ale but unfortunately there's no first choice liquor near us :(

Tight Red Togs and Amber Ale same price at Liquorland.

      https://www.liquorland.com.au/search?q=Steamrail

      • Cheers though there's no Liquorland here either :/

We've got Dan Murphy's, BWS and Bottle-O and that's about it I think?

      • They're each $50 on that link :(

And the Pale Ale and Golden Ale are $45.

        EDIT
        My prices for NSW.

        You're prices must be Victoria?

  • Guess it's worth a go at $35. Anyone else tried it and can comment?

One of my favourite mass Pale Ales that tries to make you think its a small Craft beer.

Scratch that, I was thinking of the Green bottle, the Pale Ale.

I'd still give the Summer Ale a go, based off the Pale.

Similar to a 150 lashes. I really like it for the price tag

      • Thanks

Less hops and fruitiness that 150 IMO.

Great for the price, cos, well, not even $1.50 a beer, and quite drinkable.

I bought 2 cases of summer and 2 of amber when Cashrewards did 20% cash back the other week.
They’re better than I thought they’d be but nothing to write home about. Just a nice beer. Absolutely worth it for the money.

I'd like to say don't touch it, it's rubbish (so I can still get it cheap), but T.R.T is one of my favourite summer ales. A mild version of Stone and Wood, a little more flavour than Wild Yak. I don't recon you would find a better beer for $35. John Boston Pale Ale is another little underachiever in my book as well.

Agree with this. This beer is decent for $35

  • Do you guys think there will be an increased cashback tomo for that world whiskey day or something?
Myself atm = FOMO vs a few $ potential savings!

  • Already N/A?

Damn! No longer in stock in Qld!

Bought a Steamrail (can't remember which) 6-pack upon recommendation of the staff member. Hated it. Couldn't even finish it. Gave the rest away.

Thanks OP, got a box from Vic, Balwyn store. Yay for cheap drinks.

Really nice beer, definitely worth $35

Thanks OP! Loved their Pale Ale and am happy to give this one a go.

  • I'll bite. Just got a carton from Capalaba, QLD.

    • How did you do that online? It says no longer in stock in Qld for me last night.

      • +3

I went down there and bought one man. Old school.

  • Picked up a carton yesterday in Keperra QLD because of the price, it’s not a great drop, I would probably compare it to something like XXXX Summer. It’ll do house guests I think.

  • It looks in stock in SA near me.

    • Same here. Available at my nearest three stores in WA.

      I've unexpired the deal.
