Ozito Power X Change Brushless Cordless Drill Driver (Skin Only) $49.90, Brushless Hammer Drill (Skin Only) $79.90 @ Bunnings

740

My first deal post so please be gentle.
It is not on Bunnings website but I saw them in my local Bunnings (Altona VIC). You may want to check your local store to try your luck.

I assume they dropped down price to match the Aldi deal coming soon.

Please note this post is for Skin Only so you may need battery as well if you don't have any yet.
I have checked the batteries & chargers sold separately but they are not on special price yet.

I also spotted stock from previous deal. However, the price here is $119

Still great deal in my opinion as it comes with dual charger and 2 x 3AH batteries.
I personal bought the skin only for $80 a few months ago and the single charger & 2 x 3AH battery for $69 last August.

If you only need to pound into materials, never screw and never wood, then go rotary since it'll save heaps of time. If you only have 1 tool, make it the hammer drill (like this). Rotary hammer drill is not as versatile. This normal hammer drill will still as it says, hammer, but will be many times slower

      • already bought the rotary the other day, is it worth getting the this hammer also or should i just stick with the drill driver?

  • Tried 4 of the hammer drills and all of them had bent spindles so the drill bits wouldn't run "true" - returned them all.
Luckily they had a superseded makita hammer drill driver in stock for $130 so i snapped that up. A far superior tool to the ozito. I do have the brushless ozito impact driver and it's ok for what it cost at the time $50

    • Yeah, Ozito has a lot of tools which come out to be not true, I returned a few myself, but a little wobble is defiantly noticeable if you ever decide to pop on an extension. Then you'll have to hold the bit with one hand and the drill with the other. I also had an electric screwdriver ozito which was not true. After the 3rd unit, I just gave up. A little wobble on that wasn't going to kill, especially for $19

PSA: Don't use your powerpass, if you have one, when buying any Ozito tools. Your use will be considered commercial and you can say goodbye to the 5 year warranty even if you legit use the tools at home and not in any way commercially.

    • Last time i check via the powerpass app there's no discount for ozito anyway

      • No, there likely isn't, but I did it out of habit and to keep track of the paperwork more easily.

  • I wonder if the brushless angle grinder is going to be on sale soon (I may have missed it).

    • If you check the comment made last night, someone mentioned it is already $10 off with stock level check.

      • I did miss it, hence the comment. thanks for confirming.

Does anyone have the stock code for the Ozito 2 x 18V brushless jet blower kit? Trying to find out what stores have stock.

    Thanks OP.
FWIW I upgraded my non-brushless hammer drill that I've had for 4 years to a brushless hammer drill via returns, told them it was smoking and losing power under heavy load, which was true, but it was still working. It was originally in a kit with fast charger and battery so had to try find something equivalent. Found a fast charger with 3.0 battery for $59 @ Noarlunga Bunnings SA, cannot see it online, and it wasn't available at Seaford store.
So all up $9 upgrade to brushless, and brand new with new 5 year warranty.

  • Picked up one from Thomastown Vic.

Last 1 available there as at 12 noon

  • I just got this hammer drill, have a question though. On the box, it says Max Drill: Wood - 32mm, Metal - 10mm and Brick - 13mm. What does this mean?

That's the maximum recommended diameter of hole in each of those materials for this drill.

      • Thanks…

  • What would i need to buy to make this better value than the $169 hammer drill kit?

    • I think that’s depending on if you already own charger & battery of the Ozito PXC line. If you need to buy charger & battery now maybe the total cost wouldn’t be much different. You can get battery & charger when they are on special if you are not in a hurry. Currently the black boxed 4AH battery are on special if you can find stock. Another way is getting some other kit on special like the jet blower or chain saw comes with twin charger and 2 x 3AH only if you need them.
