        Why aren't all video games free, they're all just 1's and 0's in the end.
        In fact all digital items should be free!
        Also why isn't everything free? Material objects are just atoms and you can get free atoms from the air

        You can buy DLC Characters individually or as a pack.

        Amiibo doesn't unlock character.

    You get like 80 heroes with the game.

    Dont think you need every bit of content released. I don't get that mentality.
    This has an insane amount in the base game including nearly 1000 music tracks from just amount every Nintendo game ever released.

      game was packed to the gills with content at release (63 characters for the record) and has had quite a bit more content added for free since. The base game is tremendous value as it is and the fighters just add more of the good stuff, great additions if you love the game, totally skippable if you don't.
