How to transfer files from Samsung S8 phone to Apple Computer using Windows

I need to transfer my photos and videos from my Samsung S8 phone to my Desktop computer which is an Apple but is using the Windows Environment.

When I connect the USB cord from the phone to the USB port at the back of the Apple it does not recognise it. Even tried Bluetoothing but it is not finding the device.

Can someone offer assistance with basic step by step instructions? Have tried searching online but to no available.

    Airdroid app. You will need a wifi connection on the PC as well as for the phone. Then you access your phone through a web browser.

    Thanks for the information, but what Android App are you referring to? I am still unclear on the steps.

      AIRdroid. (not android) You can find the app here

      You start it up, it will give you an IP address and you go to that on your PC and voila… You phones storage via your web browser.

    Try transferring files to a USB using the OTG cable. And then try plugging the USB into the laptop.
