Can't Get Refund from Liquorland for out of Stock Click and Collect

It's been 2 weeks since I went to the store twice for two different items which I bought online for click and collect. Both times the store didn't have my order in stock.

Since then I've called 5x about my refund, the orders were both cancelled but I can't seem to get them to process my refund through to my debit card. As a result I'm out $150. Each time I call I get some kid who complains he's working from home and has no access to processing refunds. Each time they tell me they will flag it for urgent attention by the team responsible for doing the refunds. Each time I've been patient and respectful with them but this is getting beyond a joke now.

      Aren't HSBC cards all Visa Debit Cards now?

      I'm not sure how you would have paid if not by using it as a visa card.

      If it was used through visa I'm pretty sure you can still charge back, even if it's not a credit card.

        Yes it's a visa debit card. Didn't realise I can do a chargeback, will give it a whirl.

    I've had a similar issue. I paid via paypal, so a week ago, I lodged a Paypal claim. To date, Liquorland haven't responded to the claim so hopefully I'll get my refund soon. It might be easier for them to just allow everyone to make their paypal/credit card claims, than have to deal with the large volume of calls asking for refunds (as they'd have to refund it anyway)

  • I had them move the order to another store who had confirmed stock and was able to pick up 20 minutes later.

    Good luck. Last time this happened to me i tried ringing them, said they were too busy, didnt reply to emails, had to raise a paypal dispute and of course won it, but i literally had to wait 6 weeks to get the funds back. Liquorland are shockers with this (especially FCL).
