Hi all,
Got this chew bar in the kid magazine, do you think it is swallow-able?
I just wanted to make sure, before giving it to my kid (5yo)

Like a bubble gum that you cannot swallow it….
Whilst gum has no real nutritional value, there's nothing preventing you from swallowing it. It'll go through your digestive system the same way everything else does.
Urban myth.

Not quite. Our body can't digest gum. So it will come out relatively intact, which may be a problem if the child is constipated. Theoretically, large amounts of swallowed gum combined with constipation could block intestines in children.
Edit: If the impaction caused by swallowing hair is called the Rapunzel syndrome, what would a fecal impaction due to a chew gum bezoar be known as? The Violet Beauregard syndrome? The Hubba Bubba syndrome?
@[Deactivated]: Interesting extra information, thanks! I guess what I was going for was regardless of gum not being digestible it'll still follow the same basic rules; input: mouth, output: butt.
Maybe not a 5 year old.
Are you really going to feed your kids nuclear sludge?!?!?
I'm surprised this is even able to be sold!
Haha it's in the krash magazine april 2020
As opposed to the kind of lolly you're not not supposed to swallow?
it's probably 90% sugar.
I wouldn't be risking it!

At least it was labelled correctly.
Apart from the obvious, allowing a child to eat a bar that has that type of design isn't really teaching them to stay away from hazardous items with similar packaging design…
This is so true! I wonder why the magazine allowing such thing distributed. Thanks
Definite nope would not give to a child, sour lollies are for adults only yumm
Is the question.. it s it edible? Or is the question is it so unhealthy should I feed it to a 5yo? Or is the question is it a choking hazard for a 5yo?
If you mean swallowed in one go like a seagull, then no I don't think I can, sorry.
