KFC is at it again and offering an unexpected treat this coming weekend.

To celebrate Mother’s Day (it’s this Sunday for anyone who isn’t yet organised), KFC is discounting their entire menu by 25 per cent when you purchase through Menulog and use the code KFC4MUM at checkout.

T&C's: The offer is only available through Menulog from Saturday, May 9 until stores close on Monday, May 11. You also need to spend a minimum of $30 in one transaction as well.

This is part of Mother's Day deals for 2020.

Is that $30 min spend before or after discount?

    • its ok…if i will, more KFC will be bought! i will enjoy it for as long as i instantly regret it! #sacrifices

    • Unsure. This was a news article online. There is nothing on either the MenuLog or KFC website about it yet.

    • Should be before, haven't seen a code saying min spend after

      Many mums love kfc!

      • +1

My mum would stab me if I got her KFC.

What chu say about my Mumma?

    • +3

If that what mumma want, that what mumma get!!

Dunchuu dare try tell me what my mumma wants!

  • +1

I'm hoping it's normal menu and not full priced item only.

    • +2

Fingers crossed for Cheap as Chips discount!

      • +1

        15 large chips?

      • Doesn't show up on menulog for me, closest thing is the streetwise feast, lose two pieces and two sides, gain 3 tenders and costs $24.95. With the $8.95 delivery would have to buy 3 of those to start getting into cheap as chips value range.

  • When you come home you can eat, pork and beans
I eats mo' chicken, any man seen

  • +13

Standard note, the hidden menulog tax on KFC seems to be between 10% and 30% markup depending on the item compared to if you purchased it directly from the store.

For my local KFC throw on another $8.95 for menulog delivery as well, not sure if this varies between store.

worst item I could find, double tender burger, $4.95 from store, $6.95 from menulog

Might be worth checking out their price promise: https://www.menulog.com.au/info/our-price-promise

Though I put in a request last week, so far I haven't heard anything back 🙄

      • +1

Unfortunately the price promise is compared to another company delivering the same items from the same store, not to the instore price that you pay if you collect it yourself :(

        • +1

I have had luck with my one and only claim /dispute regarding this. I ordered fish and chips, and when I got there I noticed that the menulog price was 40% higher than the regular shop price.

          I got the difference refunded.

          • @kickling: Can anyone confirm this works? The Menulog price promise only applies to deliveries, which KFC does not do directly.

  • +1

From my understanding you will still get charged a delivery fee from MenuLog. But the food will be cheaper!

    • +112

      It's not really 25% off due to the $9 delivery fee so heres the breakdown;

      $30 spend = $1.50 delivery + full price menu
$36 spend = Free delivery + full price menu
      $50 spend = Free delivery + 7% off menu
      $75 spend = Free delivery + 13% off menu
      $100 spend = Free delivery + 16% off menu

Also remember that the items on menulog are anywhere between 6% to 20% higher then in-store prices.

This is what we need contributed to the discussions. When people contribute real information :) keep it up bro

Thank you. When I heard of this deal, I immediately wondered if it was cheaper to go to a KFC and get it yourself the old fashioned way. Looks like for smaller purchases it is!

    • agreed..bring on the negs - they are music to my ears :)

  • +6

I've been making my own KFC at home. It's not the same… but it's also on average 50% cheaper! Still incredibly moist and juicy and not hard work.

Chicken pieces… pour powder in bag, shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake your groove thing and you are done! Pyrex dish, drizzle of olive oil, in the oven, 40-45 minutes later at 160c and DAMN! Can do a kilo for $4 if you buy the right ingredients.

If I bought KFC for my mother she'd have a small chips, a piece of chicken and half a small popcorn and go 'I'm full'.

Up voted for the mothers day reminder!

  • omg KFC + Isolation = Goodness for the tummy :D
now, going to have to walk some more fat off to make way for KFC

    • Doesnt help me. KFC is literally 5minute walk around the corner :/

  • Shut up and take my money!

  • +4

Tempted but after the wait for almost 2 hours with no help from Menulog and KFC saying sorry just come collect it I can't.

    Also as per u/brandogs

    • +1

It is not an issue with KFC, but Menulog. Technically, the service got a severe flaw to trace drivers.

      • +1

I am aware and praise KFC for their handling of it as an ex employee, this deal is tied to Menulog, hence the neg.

    • +1

Normally happens when KFC store receives say 25 orders in an hour but there are currently only 10 menulog drivers working for not just KFC all stores which creates a backlog of orders and why the KFC store says they are waiting on Menulog drivers to arrive

      • I spoke to the area manager as their phones were down and it was going to his mobile, poor bloke. He reckoned it was something to do with drivers confirming orders and just never picking it up. We cycled through 3 people until it arrived 2 hours later when I was about to go get it myself.

  • where's the $30 code they were giving out for sick elderly people/essential workers?

  • +2

$8.95 delivery for me and inflated prices, means I would end up paying more.

  • do they usually do these discounts for pick up?

  • +1

Lol and $9 for delivery - why no pick up option ?

    • where does it say no pick up

  • +1

What a rubbish offer!!! Most items 25% overpriced against store price plus $9 delivery fee

  • +1

Confirmed my local KFC is $3 more on every item + $8.95 delivery. What a rip off.

    • Blame the delivery companies themselves not KFC, they charge x amount of % of the sale, thats why stuff is priced the way it is because that extra is Uber/Menulog's share, the delivery fee is for the driver etc.

I spoke to my local pizza joint that I frequent that also delivers on uber and they get charged 20% so they put prices up on the app by 20%.

Have KFCs Hot n Spicy? I know they have wicked wings but they are so fatty! Also can you get the Amex 10 points for every $1 thru shop Back to order on Menulog?

  • +1

Is delivery free or $9 still lol

    • Yes, I came back just to revoke my plus vote. Not only is delivery 9 bucks, but the meals are all a few bucks more expensive than just ordering on the app. By the time you add that in you are still paying more even after the 25% off

  • +2

Thanks! Ordered 2hrs ago chose “ASAP”, and I still haven’t received dinner yet. Menulog sucks….

    • I ordered and the app said they'll deliver 2 hours later. What!

  • +2

Not bad, just tried it. Did both orders via the KFC app and Menulog to compare, and it works out to be the same price. Just free delivery. That's a win.

For reference got the family burger box and added gravy 👍

  • Forgot more than half my order.

  • +1

false economy - costs more after delivery and inflated prices. Menulog sucks.

  • +3

4 hours after I order it arrives. Menulog is dead to me.
