[Refurbish] Bose QC35 II Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones $299.95 Shipped @ Bose Outlet

200

Just found out about the Bose Outlet store which sells refurb and open-box headphones with full Bose warranty. QC35 series II normally go for at least $30 more than this based on past Ozbargain deals.

Since Bose warranty and out-of-warranty repair only replaces headphones with new ones, as they say headphones are unserviceable, I'm not really sure how 'refurb' these could possibly be. I'm guessing they're ex-demo headphones or something?

They also have SoundSport Free wireless headphones — Refurbished for $179.95 (RRP $299.95, cheapest price I found with a quick search was $248 at Addicted to Audio)

    For me, overpriced for used/refurbished.

For $30 more you can get them new from Amazon.

    • Yeah that's a valid point of view. On the other hand they come with full Bose new warranty, so if anything turned out to be wrong you'd get a new pair anyway.

Sometimes the concern is whether there's any increased chance of something going wrong.

        • yep also a good point. I do sometimes wonder whether 'refurbs' are just early life warranty returns where the vendor hasn't been able to detect a fault, so just replaces any consumable parts (in this case, only the earmuff is replaceable) and then repackages them in to a box with new accessories etc. On the other hand, given the cost to manufacture these headphones (I would imagine <$50) that amount of effort probably wouldn't be financially worth it for them. I wouldn't be surprised if these are just warranty spares being sold given Bose is currently seeing lower than usual sales and has had to furlough many employees…

  • There are some things (personal hygiene) you don't want to buy refurbished

  • I purchased these new for $280 through Amazon last year, typically on sale these come down to <$320 i wouldn't get these refurbed

The amount of issues I see with Bose, there's very little wonder why there are so many refurbished stock. Very disappointed in this brand these days with shoddy build quality, buggy firmware and hardware.

    • Out of curiosity, what issues have you seen? I've had my QC35's for a few years now with no issues at all

    • I second that, Ive owned mine for two years and the ear cups are loose and disintegrated, it's a very sad look. My Sony headphones are still fine.

  • $299 for someone else earwax no thanks
