You'll be looking at $500+ for local stock if you can find it; $550 for other cards of its quality. This card is well reviewed, has an amazingly memetic name and is a beast for 1080p gaming. It comes with 14gbps memory vs 12gbps on 'lesser' 5600 XTs.

Base Clock: 1560MHz
Boost Clock: 1620MHz
Memory Type: GDDR6
Length: 280mm
3x DP, 1x HDMI

Only question mark is if this is eligible for the 'raise the game' promo. Also available cheaper through XFX themselves on Amazon, however it's preorder only.

  • is this card an equivalent to RTX 2060 ?

No, I would equate it to a GTX 1660 Super

    • A few % under.

        source?
FWIW I own neither cards and I haven't been keeping up with GPUs but this post made me search some comparisons and most of them seem to suggest that the 5600 XT is a touch faster.

        • Memory mainly, lucky we have google.

As a 5700 XT owner, I'd say go with Nvidia unless you're using Linux or Hackintosh. For Windows, Nvidia drivers are far more stable, seems to have less problems and completely kill AMD from a features perspective. As much as I love what AMD is doing with CPUs, they've just been lazy with their GPUs.

I buy new GPUs every cycle. Amongst my gaming PC, work PC, my wife's PC and my son's PC, I buy plenty of GPUs, almost always at launch. The Nvidia GPUs I've bought over the past few years have been great (780, 970, 1080, 2080S). The AMD GPUs (7970, 290X, RX 580, 5700 XT) has been mixed. The RX 580 has been fantastic in the living room PC, both the 7970 and 290X matured well, but they were loud and hot and had plenty of teething issues. The 5700 XT has been fine for gaming, but my wife's 1080 beat it for features and stability to the point where I had to give in and get a 2080S.

For full transparency, gaming is a secondary use for my GPUs. If you just game, then fair enough, buy whatever gives you higher FPS. However, CUDA >>> OpenCL right now for most compute tasks. Eventually compute will move to RT cores (e.g. TensorFlow). AMD is just falling further behind.

      That one runs at 12Gbps

    This card is thicc !

    • How thicc?

  • I think I killed my 780 the other day so I'm desperate for a deal on something that can do 1440p at ~144hz.

You would want a 2070 super for that..

Its cost too much so im waiting for RDNA2 coming out this year at a much cheaper price for sure.
Probably the same as this but with the performance of a 2070 super .. they have RDNA2 low, mid and highend coming out and epext the low end to be as fast as a 5700/2060 Super

Nvidia will also have their new products out this year too..

  • I am looking to upgrade from my 670GTX I only run 1080p currently would this give me a few good years of usage?

    • Yeah definitely, this goes very well at 1080.

    • That one is 12Gbps though.

      • Yeah but you can flash the bios on the card to open up 14gbs from Gigabytes site.

      • Back to $620 from $499 and no longer Amazon prime eligible was free shipping before :)

    • Nice I got the Sapphire one afterall. (Cancelled because I wanted for the RNDA2 but then decided I can't be bothered waiting)
