There are some false info from the comments down below. Let me clarify a few things:

1.I am not affiliated with the devs. Someone on reddit was sharing this so I figure I better share the love. I have been looking for a proper gif maker for awhile

2.There is no watermark, No IAP, no hidden charges. Just follow the link and instructions. I have confirmed that I have been charged $0 dollar and despite the link saying there is IAP when you open the app there is no option to buy. This is a full version with no hidden charges

3.I tried this and this seems to work fine.

            @Okayy: strangely enough … when I check my transactions in itunes it shows the app and $0.00 cost … will investigate further

                @Okayy: this is just so strange .. there is no transaction in Paypal showing this but I got the email, its probably phishing scam and total coincidence as the amounts dont match either … strange, what are the chances that it happens literally when I activated the free license.

        no honestly no joking, right after I did it I got email from paypal for the authorised payment to Apple. so strange … will have to check it out and see if I did something wrong.

    Be careful, this app is called "GIF Creator □ Video to GIF" that has a RED icon, that one is free and works well. There's an app that has a similar name and app icon called "GIF Creator - GIF Maker" with a blue icon that smells like fish bait.

    Sorry to spoil the party, but I just checked it out and it seems that they have moved the charge to in-app purchases. So while its free at the beginning, you have to subscribe or pay a once-off fee to remove watermarks etc.

      Are you just speculating? Because I just tried it out and exported a picture without issue or a watermark. They didn’t move to IAP as far as i can tell. It was still there when I checked. $36/year. This is a special that’s located in their help section presumably as a promotion. I have to know man, did you honestly just assume all this? It sure seems that way.

      Edit: Just did a video then. Exports without issues or watermark. Mate, I am all for exposing scummy apps but what you just said is one of the most ridiculous comments I’ve ever read.
