My understanding is they have a larger cache, otherwise more or less on par.
Why would someone neg you for your comment , i will plus you for it
Strange days, Rubber Duck.
Comparison review. There is a minimal difference in performance between the 2 and they're using the same hardware to achieve USB-C.
They are all in all very similar. T5's look classy as all hell, Sandisk is a very nice form factor.
If you opt the T5, get it pricebeat at OW via Harvey Norman and you'll get it for $235
Thank you guys. This seems a bit more rugged compared to the Samsung so I’ve ordered.
They are both very rugged and can take plenty of shock… no moving parts. That said, I keep mine in a small zippered hard case as the T5 has a smaller form factor than the SanDisk and could easily get lost inside a newspaper, folder etc.in my backpack.
I have been using the T5 for a few years now and will be looking to upgrade to the Samsung T7 and the SanDisk to the faster Extreme Pro version when the price points hit my desired sweet spot.
There are plenty of reviews on both brands and they come out relatively even in terms of performance.
Is this one QLC or TLC?
64-layer 3D TLC
Apparently the Extreme Portable SSD carries a WD Blue 3D NAND SSD (BiCS 64-layer 3D TLC flash) with the Marvell 88SS1074 SSD controller.
Don't go chasing waterfalls!
nono, go with T5 please.
What's your reasoning Shaolinking?
Sorry I'm new to posting. But question, why doesnt my post show up in the normal daily feed for today? I tried from another browser too without signing in thinking it may not show ones i post. But it only shows when i search Sandisk??
If you are looking at the home page it will only go there if it has enough + votes, otherwise it will be in the Deals page.
Gotcha, thank you
Anyone tried WD's My Passport SSD and how it might compare with this?
There's a YT comparison, all three are about on par performance wise.
Been using this 1TB for travel for 2 years now, been dropped a few times as other people have said no moving parts. Great for transfers, I'm confident bringing this around pre and post coronavirus travel
How do they compare to Samsung T5?
