261

I've been chasing a usb stick for my nvidia shield and retro gaming, with free shipping. Thought I would share.

128gb, usb 3.0, 120MB/s read, 10MB/s write.

Alternatively, Umart also selling for $28 which may be a better option if you live close to a store for pickup.

If you get free shipping then sure!

    • Yes, much better, the Samsung is a much better performer in every way

    • Yes the specs on read and write are better.

    • yes, even by the looks, Sammy is more cute.

  • Is this better than the Samsung Bar listed here? Thanks!! —> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/534045

    • It couldn’t be worse.
In all seriousness the write speeds aren’t listed but with 300MB/S read I’d say your chances are good.

    Thanks for sharing.

If I am reading this correctly, 10MB/s write speed will takes about 3.6 hours to fill 128 GB.

Understand requirements may vary, but for $10 more, (from Amazon), why not consider SanDisk 128GB Extreme Go USB 3.1 Flash Drive - SDCZ800-128G-G46

That has write speed up to 150MB/s.

    Just my two cents.

    • Fair point for the faster option. For my needs I won't be writing to it very often and just wanted cheap and dependable. Comparing reviews of the kingston, samsung and sandisk the kingston was on par for the similar products.

10MB/s write speed? Complete trash. Particularly on a 128GB drive - would literally take 3.5 hours to fill.

    No deal!

    • Lordy. I thought that was a typo.

I have the 32GB version of this and it is so slow.

Get the much better Samsung one for the same price.

  • I can't really see the purpose of getting such a large usb stick. I much prefer the Samsung T5 if I need anything near that capacity.
I mostly use USB sticks for creating bootable ISO drives. If I could buy USB3 8GB sticks I would.

    • Why not make a bootable USB with all of your ISO's on it?

      • I have one using E2B, but it doesn't support UEFI boot.

  • i have the 16gb one, they are extremely slow!!! avoid if you can

Good luck actually getting it this year. Normal off the shelf postage stamps just took 2.5 weeks from Auspost. They are working at a sloths pace at present even for their stock shop products.

  • I have one, very slow.
