Hello OzBargain,
I recently purchased 2 Netgear Orbi’s and I’m having 2 issues, firstly, my Google Home’s cannot connect to the network, secondly, I now appear to have a double NAT?
Thanks in advance.
Hello OzBargain,

What kind of NBN? FTTN, FTTB, FTTC, FTTP or HFC?
Do you have another modem connected before the Orbi?
Which ISP are you with?
I’ve got iiNet Cable and I am using the modem iiNet gave me.
How have you got the cable modem configured to the Orbi?
Does the cable modem have a bridge mode option?
I think it’s configured properly and it is currently in router mode with an option for bridge mode.
@WoodYouLikeSomeCash: Is bridge mode turned on in the cable modem?
@Twix: No, I’ll turn it on now and report back.
@WoodYouLikeSomeCash: Yeah you have to turn it on. This is why you have a double NAT.
@Twix: That seems to have fixed my NAT type (it’s now open), Thanks very much :)
@WoodYouLikeSomeCash: Yay :-)
Did it fix the Google Home network error?
@Twix: I’ll try the google now :)
@Twix: Hmm… Still no luck, thanks for trying :)
@WoodYouLikeSomeCash: How far away from the Orbi is the Google Home?
What error message are you getting?
@Twix: It’s around 3m from the Orbi and this is the message I get.
@WoodYouLikeSomeCash: Have you reconfigured the Google Home in the Google Home app to connect to the Orbi wireless network?
@Twix: Resetting did the trick, thanks for all your help :)
@WoodYouLikeSomeCash: Ok Google bed time :-)
@Twix: Yep haha 😂
@WoodYouLikeSomeCash: best support chat :D
