It's a sale. Harvey Norman had two for $169 a few months back. I wish I'd bought them at the time.

  • Can you add Spotify as an app to the screen & use it as a music controller?

    • You can't add apps to it unfortunately.

If you play music on it you can control it via the screen.

If you tell it to play music on another device in the house it'll bring up the controls for that device, but you can also select other google home devices from the screen to play music on.

But for example, if I'm playing spotify on my desktop PC, you can't control the music that plays on it from this.

      • Hmmmm, ok. Seems a bit useless to me? Already have the home mini which is great. Not sure what I would use differently on this…

        Thanks BTW.

I stream the footy whilst washing the dishes…

  • Can this screen auto wake (eg when you wave in front), or is it touch or voice activated only ?

Can you get it to display web pages ?

I want a simple low power device to put in the kitchen and display energy use (solar input etc); don’t really need the other fancy features on this, but it seems pretty cheap regardless

    • I haven't fully explored mine yet but only touch and voice-activated for me. It does auto change its brightness based on the amount of light in the room.

You can display videos from youtube and whatnot, webpages might be able to if they have the same similar sharing function.

      • What’s the sharing function ? Do you have to ask Google something to get it displayed ?

Or can you setup fixed for it to show (from screenshots I see the home screen has weather etc)

        • Oh, I meant like mirror display function like say from your phone/tablet like how you would with youtube videos.

  • can i use it with Video Door bell? and this one is better for that purpose or scho show?

    • Depends what doorbell. I have the nest doorbell and it's perfect for that

  • Can I use it like a tablet? Like typing for youtube, etc?

    • No you can't type on this.
