  • Apart from the digital vs dials, whats the difference between this and $89 one from kmart?
    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/5.3-litre-air-fryer/2745820

    • It has this ‘fat removal technology’

      • +7

Removes the fat from your wallet.

    • The main difference is that the Kmart one is never in stock. I got an alert from Kmart the other day that they were back in stock and 2 hrs later there was no more stock. The other difference might be quality. While the Kmart Air Fryers are rightfully praised as great value for money common complaints are that the non-stick couating comes off quite quickly.

      • yeah.. as soon as i got the alert from kmart I ordered it. But got a refund 2 days later.

I picked up one yesterday from kmart carousel WA. Was showing no in stock online but had 5 there, so don't trust website stock level. Maybe worth a call and they can look up other stores too.

        • Good to know. Thanks for the heads-up.

    • It is always out of stock.

I have the Kmart one, and cannot recommend it enough. Save your hard earned $$$ for more important things.

  • Very tempted on this but I'm looking at eating a but healthier.. smoothiesfor brunch and a snack later the day and mostly chicken stuff at night. I'm guessing a oven would be healthier than this right

    • +3

An air fryer is literally a small convection oven, the name is just a marketing term

    • Shouldn't theoretically be any difference in healthiness between an air fryer and an oven, both just cook using hot air

  • +1

Yep KMart one for me too. Cooks to perfection and there's a Facebook group with lots of recipes too.
Can't see any reason to spend hundreds on an air fryer, unless you're just after a name brand.

    • please link the facebook group!
      thanks in advance

There are several. Just search for 'kmart air fryer group' and take your pick.

  • Really good purchase. Of course, it's just a small oven but it gets hot quickly and cooks food better than my convection oven…for some reason.

Rember people u get what u pay for this is far superior to any airfryer
    On the market..
And besides if someone come to your house
The look on there face when u show this it’s like owning an 85” huge tv

I got this for $269.40 from Amazon in Jan (yes the XXL) so might be worth a wait if not desperate.

I would echo everyone else, it's absolutely fantastic and easy to clean. Flawless cooking. Very much recommended.

    • Yes I agree, in the past it hovered around from $270 to $325 on Amazon and Myer.

  • Available at same price @ amazon too

  • Does anyone know how this Kogan model compares?

    Are the Kogan reviews reliable?

I recent upgraded to the xxl, the extra room is awesome. Btw if you get it from Costco it comes with extra accessories. I use the shelf thing all the time

    • Could you please tell us what extra Accessories you got from Costco? It doesn’t really say on their website https://www.costco.com.au/PHILIPS/Philips-Airfryer-XXL-HD965…

      • +1

You get the Philips HD9941/00 Grill Master Kit/4 Skewers Accessory Grilling for Airfryer
You also get the layer tray but I think that is standard.
Costco have it for $350 from time to time so just wait for a coupon sale…

        • Thanks mate
