I eventually got my scuffs from the last deal. They're okay but I would not have been happy if I had paid full price. They just feel cheap, not like my other ugg boots

    • +1

I was happy with the quality but I’m not a slipper expert
I would buy this pair for my wifey but she doesn’t like the white soles.
      Made is Australia

    • +3

Agree. Nothing like the Uggs I used 25 years ago..

Marketing team in UGG need to not hype their products so much that there's a disconnect with the quality of the actual products to create disappointment. Would not buy again unless I've tried it in person IMO.

      • I just bought a pair but I'm not expecting much from them, they should be an upgrade from the crappy Aldi ones I've got at the moment.

My last proper Ugg boots lasted a good 15+ years, it's a pity those days are long gone.

        • +3

Wool is starting to come off with very light use so I need to wear it with socks to extend the life.
Just feels like an cheap imported product from a developing/mass produced nation.
Stiff and no life to the product when you hold it in your hands compared to the old UGGS which actually feels like it's from a sheep. This feels plastic.
Way to go UGG to kill off an iconic brand with a product devoid of soul.

      • +1

you do know there is no "UGG" right? The word UGG in Australia is a type of boot, not a brand, hence there are 1000 companies with variations of UGG in their names. Ugg Australia, Original UGG, UGG Official, Australian UGG Boots. Who knows where you got them from 25 years ago, it could have been any of them, they could have changed names over the years. They'll all claim to be original :| The only actual official one is owned by Americans :(

        • Yeah I remember that case in law school. Good ol Murica.

    • +1

I had the same thoughts when mine arrived.

Also the sheepskin rug (which I ordered before the scuffs arrived) was smaller than the listed length.

      Pretty disappointing.

      • -4

why didn't you let us know? we sold 500 rugs and we received 3 people with an issues and happy to sort it out, free shipping ect ect? Instead you take this route to achieve what?

        • I posted in the original thread.
I thought you might reply there.

Someone else has a similar issue.
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/529413

        • +8

Because it's OzBargain. It's WAY better to be able to complain forever than actually try to sort an issue out, that's way too short-term.

          • +4

@mickeyjuiceman: Hey mickey, I emailed them directly three times and got no response at all; so yeah, ugg australia do seem most responsive when held to account in public forums

      • I ordered also on the $63 sheepskin rug deal - must say I was very impressed and pleased with the product.

Got posted out the next day and arrived after the weekend.
Even my dog loved the sheep smell - she had a good lick of it.
Anyway, was so pleased with the order that I was looking out for more deals from the OP.

Made in Australia - I'm very happy to support!

  • What are sheepskin boots like for keeping your feet warm without sweating?

    • They are perfect, shouldn't sweat.

  • Any chance of a deal on those rugs from last time? Thank you. :)

  • +2

As always with this mob, carefully check out the reviews on productreview.com.au before making your decision on purchasing

    • Wished I”d read your post before buying a pair 😩

      • Dukeman, don't stress we will have your order out and you will love them. Ill personally guarantee it.
From 6000 orders we had less than 1% of these kind of issues.

        • Thanks 👍 Thats reassuring to hear.

          • +1

@dukeman: I hope it goes well dukeman. I followed up with them 3 times after getting a defective product, and didn't get a single reply :(

    • +3

Yeah read them after I ordered. While I'm sure these aren't the greatest quality, neither are the typical humans who post on places like productreview.com.au. Some of those reviews read like the typical Karens of the world who are outraged because their inflated idea of customer service is very different to the real world. I guess I'll find out in a month when Australia Post finally delivers them.

      • +4

Spot on Dav, as previously mentioned we had 6000 order in 2 days. we aren't allowing that again.
we don't direct anyone to product review as they are often reviewing all different Ugg companies

    • Given you target this mob with negative comments/votes, what's your story with them?

  • -6

I found the quality of uggbootaustralia.com.au to be cheap and poor quality.

I only buy from originaluggboots.com.au because i find they are great quality and actually last years.

    • +7

haha you again. How many free pairs have you got from them now?

        • Yes we know that you have spoken directly with the Ugg boot manufacturer mentioned.
we sold 6000 pairs last deal, how many negative reviews? that speaks for itself.
Please find something better to do than troll our deals with your affiliations.

        • I think it speaks for itself, dont you?

Anyone with even a part of a clue understands that (especially here) it's mostly people who want to have a whine who post, so no it very clearly doesn't speak for itself for anyone who can think through issues.

        • For all we know, you might be even working for them or have family/friends working there. This is not a valid neg since what do you base your opinion on, that their quality is better? Are you an expert? There are many shops selling these.

          • +1

@bargainparker: Probably just a wannabe "influencer" with nothing better to do with their life

          • @bargainparker: I have no links to them at all. My whole family is in the opposite side of australia haha

I base my opinion on how they feel when wearing them, how well they hold together and last.
I like to buy things that last me years instead of just 1 winter.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, good, bad, ugly.
            Im just simply stating mine.

As for the comment below, im past my teens/twenties years… I actually do this thing that's called being an adult

            • +1

@princess_nik_nak: One will try a jacket and say, great. The other will try the same jacket and say, rubbish. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Except you keep restating yours. On the other hand, I am happy with mine, yet you don't see me coming on just to say how pleased I am.

I guess, you could stand in front of their shop, all day long with a sign, not happy Jan, as well.

            • +5

@princess_nik_nak: The website you mentioned isn't even ours?

    • Like u/friskywhippet above, would be interest to know what's your story with this group?

      • so would we?

        • +1

I purchased a pair of boots from them on a previous deal. Boots were faulty, I contacted them three times about it, and didn't get a single reply. I don't like it when I don't get what I paid for. That's all. BTW, if you don't believe your fellow ozbargainers' experiences, then check verified reviewers on other sites.

    • +1

You have also not mentioned our website, you do realise that right?
you have never purchased from our company.

    • Isn't that a completely different company though? Just a similar name

  • +1

We have sold close to 50 pairs, 100 more and we are expiring the deal. Thanks again OZB for the support

  • +4

I've made a couple of purchases from UGG Australia. Wearing the slippers right now. Good quality and I've had no issues.

    • +1

thanks for the support, we are getting beat up today.

    • I second that!

  • +2

    Hi guys,

I sent an email out (addressed to Scott). Any update on the missing boots from my order (#23011)?

The first pair were sent out very quickly (as I've paid express), and they are great! I'm happy to be supporting Australian made, especially with the given quality.

    • Hi guys, any update on this?

  • +1

I have ordered it and will post a review once I get it.

  • 100 pairs sold, 50 to go.

  • Any chance of a pair of US size 15 or AU 14 ?

  • +1

I purchased rug, I like rug, will buy Ugg. Much thank

  • +3

Ugg boot wars, could make a TV series from it. Get the popcorn.

Purchased a pair of yours by the way. Or was it from Original Uggs, Ugg Boots Australia or the others? No, definitely Ugg Australia. Needed a pair, will see how they go.

After just a few clicks to Ugg Australia, I'm already getting targeted adds through facebook from your competitor Original Ugg Boots!

    • +4

It could be the next Netflix series, Ugg Life.
We are the only ones using Australian Made skins, we are the only ones who own a tannery and a factory.
      Keep supporting Australia.

      • +4

Hey, I bought a pair from you last time. Happy with them! FYI you should have in the heading of this post and future posts 100% Australian Made AND Owned.

    • +2

      Ugg King

    • Why are all these similar companies allowed to use the Ugg brand name? Sets the customer up for confusion. Which company run the 100 stores around Sydney CBD?

      • Paraphrasing here so if anyone is better informed than me please correct me.

In Australia, it's a generic term so anyone can use it.

Unfortunately we lost a court case worldwide so some American company can brand it Ugg and manufacturer them for cheap offshore and we get nothing. They have exclusive rights to the Ugg brand outside of Australia.

They put a nice picture of Australia on the box though.

        Assholes.

      • copy paste of my post from above

  • Ordered a pair for Mother's Day. Thankyou.

  • +3

Bought a pair, will report back on my experience - the constant feedback from OP and reassuring comments from some of you spurred my cold feet to give them a chance. Good timing too!

    • Update 1: Shipped, tracking number provided just before 1pm today.

      • Update 2: received today. No tag on top of boot and black instead of white soles (different to image) - but that’s not necessarily a big deal, prefer black myself. Very snug fit, I went based on my EU size with medium socks on, but I’m guessing it should stretch a little over time.

The material is all sheep’s wool inside, but small tufts fall out when I opened the packet which hopefully is just some extra fluff from the boot.

Soles aren’t too slippery, so no big issue there, but they’re hard and not rubber so maybe sand them slightly if that’s a problem. There’s a bit of visible glue between some and boot but plenty of stitching, looks sturdy!

Will let anyone know if they fall apart quickly, but so far I’m happy with them! At least it’s Oz made and owned :) thanks OP

  • +1

is this for indoor or outdoor use?

  • Bought a pair for a mothers day gift for my wife. I also will be back to report on my experience.

  • +1

I also bought one. Good thing on the live qty updates.

Bought one cos of the OP service - interacting with the community.

    • +1

I was in the same boat. Seems genuine and I'm happy to support Australian made and owned :)

    • +2

      To silence the haters:

      Ordered yesterday.
Received today - tracking ID notification.

What else do you want lol?

  • Bought last time and bought this time. Thanks mate.

  • Hi rep, can you tell me what is the difference between this model and the Eildon boots? Thanks

    • +1

Eildon is wider fitting at the top

  • +2

I have the Emu brand waterproof Ugg Boots and there very well made but over a couple of hundred bucks, due to a virus trying to paralyze me (months in hospital/rehab) i couldn’t get them on my swollen feet so ii ordered this deal, Jesus i don’t know what it takes to make people happy these days but my are perfect and half the price they usually are DELIVERED…..

  • Who is the best competitor to this brand in Australia?

  • +4

Received order today, but I am a bit surprised the product I got was not what was pictured.

Not being too fussy, but each of the items had white soles, but mine came with with black soles.
Also there is a logo Tag that appears on the top right foot in each of the pictures, and mine doesn't have anything.

It's part of my WFH outfit, but I would of thought the pictures were of the exact items being ordered.

    • Interesting…good feedback. Mines on track for today, will pay close attention.

      Quality okay though?

      • +1

I received mine yesterday, mine also don't have the tag on the top although other than that they look the same (white soles etc). Quality seems fine for $60 and I am pretty happy with them however I think I may have been disappointed if I had paid $150. They are a present for my wife for mother's day so once she has worn them I will provide an update. Overall pretty happy at this stage though.

  • Placed order on 22nd. Have yet to get tracking number or even delivery confirmation. Anyone else in the same situation?

    • +1

In here chasing the same thing. I have the same problem

  • +4

    Got mine today,

They look great and feel great and are better than what I was expecting… No idea about the longevity and if I could go back to last week - I'd buy another pair for a family member.

If you'd listen to all the commentary above you would never buy a pair and you'd spend all winter with cold feet - on this cold wintery Melbourne day - they are perfect !!

  • Got mine a couple of days ago. Very happy with them. Wished I”d bought another pair for a family member.

  • +1

Hey rep, I'm waiting on order 23559. Any update on when this will be sent? I need it for a family member that will fly out of Aus very soon…

  • 2 weeks now and seems mine has not yet been shipped? Rep? #23554

    • +1

sorry for delay, I have ensured this will be shipped today

      • What about mine homie? :(

        • ill get on to it, sorry about that.

  • +1

I'm still waiting for any acknowledgement (order #23637), I got the Paypal email but nothing from Ugg Australia.
Seems I'm not the only one waiting.

    • +1

These have been sent express to you today. sorry about that.

  • +1

I'm also still waiting for any acknowledgement (order #23571) ordered on 22/04.
Countless FB messages with no response as well

  • I'm still waiting for my free pair of slippers from the last deal as my order took 5 yes 5 weeks to arrive in Perth.

  • +2

Received mine finally on the 11th. Boots are fine. Maybe a bit on the tight side. More communication about delays would have gone a long way.

    • They seem to loosen up after a week of wearing and become the right fit.

  • Zero confirmation, zero tracking… Was supposidly getting sent "this week", that was on the 29th of April…

  • +1

Anyone still waiting on their order? I have still had no notification of dispatch yet.
