  • Probably better than the Audio Technica ones…

    • +2

keeping my eyes our for Samsung galaxy buds + when they go on sale, i can justify that for 200$

      • I would suggest just go for Jabra 65T / 75T , Or the Sony ones?

Check eBay, saw a bunch of refurbished for 120 for the Jabra

        New around the 180

        I think there's a code aswell

        • -1

Jabra 65t is plagued with connection issues. Galaxy buds + are the best we have right now.

          • -1

            @onlinepred: It really isn't tho…
You seem to have a bias, j.s.

            Allow me to elaborate -

You boast the earbuds everyone hate
and you shit on those everyone loves

You really argued and really tried to make a point about those AT ones that how GOOD they are and EVERYONE just got a bad batch and they need to TRY AGAIN

but nOoOoOO WITH THE Jabra that EVERYONE loves and works fine for EVERYONE , if 2 complain about connection , its plagued?

            Stop being such a fanboy.

            • @The Milk Man: I literally said to you on the other post that the 65t was one of my favourite earbuds. That doesn't mean it has no faults. It's called being objective, unlike you, who is subjective.

          • @onlinepred: I'll put them up against my Soundpeats Truengine 2 SE's.

            • @MasterScythe: Nice! I would love to have a listen to them. They look really cool. How's the mic?

              • @onlinepred: Fine; gamesky on youtube has good mic samples, with and without crowd noise.

                • @MasterScythe: I've found that with previous earbuds the reality does not match his videos at all. I've purchased a few based on his videos, but I feel like he's too generous, and his mic tests don't relate to the real world for some reason.

                  • @onlinepred: Pretty accurate to his video; quiet, but clear.

                    • @MasterScythe: I usually get that I sound distant and muffled. When in his videos it sounds fine, like he's indoors and there's no sound at all. I bought the Razer's after his video, and the mic is terrible. He says it great.

                      • @onlinepred: Muffled? No, Distant? yes.

Anything that's not 'airpods style' will be distant, the mics aren't even facing your mouth.

                        • @MasterScythe: The Razer's are airpods style, also the trueair soundpeats are. Both still sound both muffled and distant. If I switch to airpods which he says doesn't have good mic, it's instantly different and recipients say they can hear me clearly. I don't get it. I've tried different phones too, but it seems real user reviews say the same, compared to the forged Amazon ones that soundpeats has.

                          • @onlinepred: yeah, I hate when my boss calls me on his airpods, they sound corrupted as all hell, but he's an apple guy, so whatcha gonna do.

                            • @MasterScythe: That's strange, we do conference calls and nearly everyone is using airpods and it sounds really good. Even watching these late night shows being down with celebs at home with the only mic being the airpods and it sounds fine. I'm a tech guy, I just like tech, I have an android phone at the moment. Many, many buds and headphones haha.

                              • @onlinepred: Those late night shows are a good example of the corruption in the audio actually.

I manage a zoom meeting room and various Skype related things in my daily job, that whole audio compressed crackle and 'robot voice'? Thats been eliminates from the codecs for a LONG time, what you're hearing is the airpods unavoidable anc causing losses in detail and creating compression artifacts due to not supporting aptX on android, and using a fairly high aac stream on apple.

                                I cant stand it.
Their overly agressibe attempt at perfection, means that if conditons arent able to meet that level of perfect, it goes to hell. IMO.

Proof that everyone has different tolerances and diferent ears for sound and or expectations.

                                https://www.soundpeatsaudio.com/en/true-wireless-earbuds-tru…

You might want to try the trueair?
Mics closer to your ears, a qCC3020 chipset, and nice big driver.

They'll be my next buy, purely because I want a non in-ear set for when I've been wearing them too long

                                • @MasterScythe: I'm all for trying yet another soundpeats earbuds, but the only ones I haven't tried are TrueBuds and SoundEngine. TrueAir again, struggled to talk to people with any background noise at all, and with no noise I sounded like I was using a $20 set of earbuds.
Edifier tws200 is next on my list. It actually uses background noise cancellation part of the QC chip.
I would get truebuds over trueair

                                  • @onlinepred: Its so strange. I live next to a train line and a busy road, when I was using them, I was out for a nighttime walk, and my mother thought I was in bed, due to zero background noise. In reality it was just the QCC chip doing its thing.

I wonder why we have such different experiences.

Could be the shape of our ears. The algorythm relies on them shaping sound in such a way that the mics know what to do with them.

                                    • @MasterScythe: The trueair and truebuds only have a single mic though right? That is the reason they don't do well IMO. It's why the Edifier generaly rates higher, as it has the same chip but two mics for background noise cancellation. The same goes for Airpods. Nearly all these cheap ones have a single mic on each bud, and do not actually use the dual mic background noise reduction.

Edit Also found this guy which is the TrueAir but cheaper, also made by soundpeats but sister brand. https://www.amazon.com.au/Wireless-Bluetooth-Headphones-Earp…
which has dual mics. Not sure if air and buds do?

      • I'm keenly waiting on Bose 500/700 or the new Samsung Bean buds.

    • Better go for Soundpeats , got my refund from last deal for the Xiamoi, left and right won't sync.

      • Or QCY or Muson etc, any of the copies of QCY with different buds and chargers. Better to save money and buy from the source rather than soundpeats.

  • I have used both the airdots and the Haylou GT1 Pro, if you can spare the extra I would opt for the Haylou GT1 Pro.

    Pro's
    - Better mic
    - Better case (led indicator)
    - Smaller
    - In my opinion better sound and less latency

    Cons
    - Airdots maybe a better battery life but not by much

    Got mine from here https://www.gearbest.com/bluetooth-headphones/pp_00930282037…
