Kilikanoon, Curtis & Martins Shiraz Dozen $250 (RRP $1180) Inc Free Delivery @ Wine Direct

60

Found another great deal from the guys at Wine Direct.

This offer showcases some of the country’s finest wines from revered winemakers and all at over $900 off the RRP. PLUS, freight is FREE on any order of a dozen or more.

I was fortunate enough to jump on their last offering of the Mixed Shiraz Baker's Dozen which was amazing!

Yes, I am aware RRP is always a subjective term, but at $20.83 per bottle, you will be hard-pressed to find a better deal with comparable wines in the mix as this.

I can personally vouch for the Martins Vineyard Shiraz - so smooth and just a beautiful wine to enjoy for any occasion.

I haven't tried the other two but if the Curtis is anything like the Curtis Cavaliere Shiraz, I got in my last dozen, then I am excited.

The Deal includes:
4 X Kilikanoon Meyman's Shiraz 2018
4 X Curtis Limited Series Mclaren Vale Shiraz 2016
4 X Martins Vineyard Limited Mclaren Vale Shiraz 2016

Lastly, I am aware that based on their website pricing the current RRP is $820 for this dozen, even with this adjusted its still a 69.5% discount, in my opinion that's a pretty good deal for an amazing dozen of Shiraz.

Folks are dumb where I come from. RRPcould be well over two million dollars but for just wines bulk purchase. Buy Now… Limited stock to pair with your limited brain cells.

    • Rude, but true that the RRP bears no relationship to reality. They bought some cheap wine, put their own label on it and sold it to a crappy wine website.

Are you claiming that the winery bought this wine and it wasn't made by them? Have you got anything to substantiate this claim or are you just spouting dribble without having any idea?

@thestig you don't need to lend any notice to such silly things. The internet is a wonderful place where you can say things without informed knowledge. Sad but true

          • @Dboc1987: Where did it come from then?

            • @[Deactivated]: That would be their vineyard in McLaren Vale. I've been there, it's lovely. If you ever want to venture to SA, I'd be glad to take you out there :)

Same deal was posted in February - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/519442

  • Surely that's just a ridiculous RRP??

  • Also you can get the Curtis Martin at Dans for $29.90/bottle

Got this last time they offered the deal in Feb. Personally, I'm not too impressed. It is about right for the price paid (~$20 per bottle), but I feel there is better value to be found elsewhere (also no way I'd pay the RRP of $80+ per bottle!)

Of course, wine is subjective, and it looks like lots of people enjoy this so YMMV

I agree, I was not that impressed with the wine. I think you can find better deals out there.

This is a great time to sort your favourite winery and order direct from their cellar door. With the fire affecting tourism AND production, and now Covid closing restaurants and cellar door they can really use your support. Many are offering 20% discounts, and delivery is a better option for social distancing.

      100%

I completely agree! There is no way I would deter people from doing so. We very much have to prop up our favourite wineries. If anyone wants some suggestions for wine styles, I'd be happy to receive a pm to offer some recommendations of wineries to try. We do not operate in competition with the wineries, we simply lend ourselves as an extra arm of distribution for them.
