Not the all time low but close enough. Not bad considering most decent Lego sets are out of stock.

Love this set! It is great.
One in stock lol
LEGO Master bought all the stocks.
Wonderful set, good price
I have been trying to snag this and absolutely can't. I was wondering if the brickhawk emails were a pile of BS. Brickhawk is horrible to use when the email takes you to a pointless hawk page instead of the purchase page.
Then why don't you become a Patron, support the developer and submit a suggestion.
Support something that doesn't work in a suitable fashion?
Hey mate, I've just set up a bank. Offering 15% return on savings at the moment. No proof how. Send me your cash, and oh by the way the onus is on you if I do something you don't like with it.
Huh? Brickhawk is run as a hobby and the developer regularly takes improvement suggestions from Patrons and it's updated almost weekly with tweaks and changes.
Cool bank story though (?)
Huh? THE purchase page? You'll have to do that yourself as there are too many vendors listed to just send you to one. Amazon usually price matches the usual big vendors so you rarely have just one vendor with the lowest price.
It sends one email per shop. So, YES.
Nice price though looks like it didn't last long. I purchased for $340 last year and its a great set although was one of those impulse buys for that price. No regrets but I am still trying to find a good spot to display something of this size…
is it a fun built? Does look a bit repetitive to build. Also is it sturdy?
It's a fun build. Very few repetitive elements unlike 10257 Carousel or 10247 Ferris Wheel, which have a lot of identical sub-builds around a central axle.
Sturdy enough. It's not swooshable at all, but the base is solid as display piece.
I agree with Strand's assessment. There is a bit of repetition from all the pylon parts but worth the time for the end product.
You may have already seen it but I always find Jangbrick's reviews of lego useful - he reviews this set at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLC0Jg1ZN7k
Also good with a motor if you have one at hand.
The columns are sorely repetitive, but they are quick enough that it isn't too bad overall.
It is strong overall but you'll be surprised how some bits like to disconnect (even though it remains sturdy overall).
The joy of this one will be buying multiple sets and doing whatever you want, rather than the default build. In which case, fiddling with columns I don't think will be that bad. Make it without every single round column piece, then if your design works out, go back and put them in.
missed…
Any LEGO someone would recommend for a newbie looking for a challenge and to not spend too much? Would like to build something during shutdown.
Lego Saturn V rocket would be the best bang for your buck. Amazing build for the price.
Yes this I concur, although may be hard to find it.
this is retired now. so not the best bang for buck anymore as everyone is selling it for ridiculous prices
Agreed this was an awesome set. Didn't realise it was retired and you are right the prices have shot up. Looks around $300 for a new in box set on ebay now! I originally paid about $140 for it I think which was great value at that price. Still probably worth $300 if you really want it… curious if it will keep going up - not that I ever intend to part with mine. Looks great horizontally on top of a bookshelf.
The Harley Davidson is a nice big model and on sale at Myer, or the speed champions Ferrari is good and cheap
75257 Falcon
This set definitely goes 'bang' on your bucks.
literally blow your wallet
If you're an adult, there's no 'challenge' to building Lego. More complicated sets like UCS or Creator Expert lines may have smaller pieces and higher part counts, but it's only a matter of patience, rather than finesse. Even 16+ sets can be easily be built by a child, so long as they follow instructions.
Yep. Usually the only challenge is telling dark grey from other colours in the manual. Then you get to the end and you're like, WTF, I've got the right shape brick but it's supposed to be black
Otherwise the challenge is in the moving parts when using gears, gravity (rollercoaster) etc on your own design. Haven't risen to that one yet. Time poor. But you're not going to get that by just buying one set..
Technic can be challenging. Make one wrong move and you are in a world of hurt
I just purchased the Porsche 911 RSR. Not terribly cheap but apparently a decent set. Plus I (profanity) love porsches!
can't add to cart.
