  • I subscribed on 29th of June and the router only arrives today. And I had followed everything it provided along with the order and was not able to get connected. I did manage to get connected after some 3 hours, with full frustration and none whatsoever kind of support from Belong. AVOID if you cannot accept the delivery delay plus none tech/non-tech assistant at all.
The speed is tested around 35 Mbps as on the starter tariff which is absolutely fine.

    • +1

7 days doesn't seem unreasonable for delivery in the current situation.

      • I do apologise that i might have got too used to the convenience of living in a city postcode.
And for anyone will be on a similar boat of moving to Belong during this time, if you couldn't get connected when connect your Belong router to UNIT D-1 port on the NBN Co Box on the wall, try UNIT D-2 port or even 3 and 4.
In my case i was switching from another NBN provider to Belong. My best guess after research afterwards is that it might have been due to this kind of switching process Belong might have wanted to activate my line using a different port than my current live connection which usually set on port UNIT D-1. ref: https://support.belong.com.au/nbn/troubleshooting/reset-your…

        • The Belong service has gone on Uni-D 2 most likely because your original service is still active on Uni-D 1. FTTP (which you seem to have) can have up to 4 active NBN service at the same time. If you haven't terminated your contract with the original provider, that service will still be active and they will continue to charge you.

          • @WantToPayLess: Thanks for confirming this. I had no experience as I was always with Kogan. Before anyone wonders why I switched, I was on a cheaper price on Kogan Silver then I was offered a "free" upgrade for six month to the higher tier but with same price. At the end of promotion, it became that I was unable to roll back to my old tariff for the same price which resulted paying nearly $10 more per month after rolled back on Silver.

        Agreed.

If you want top notch support, then Belong is not the right provider for you.
You got what you paid for.

        • Does not need to be top notch for me. Some clearer instruction either in print coming along with router or some webpage with slightly more details so some wizard kind of instruction would have saved a lot of time. But I do appreciate when you said you got what you paid for.

  • Beware, you may not be automatically credited the $80 and they will ask you for a photo of a letter stating you are to receive the $80 credit otherwise you will be refused the credit.
