Comme Des Garcons Play X Converse Sneakers K116 & K117 $110 (Was $220) Delivered @ Incu

800
CDGX50

I have never ever seen these shoes on discount, with prices varies between $180 and $220 and it looks like Incu maybe clearing stocks for the new spring collection

Off white and Khaki available (K116 and K117)

Also, they are not price higher than normal Converse just because of the brand name, the shoes itself is very very comfortable, comparable to the ultraboost (Okay, maybe NMD) insole, but definitely more comfortable than a lot of sneakers out there in my opinion.

Edit: doesn't work on my phone but still work on my pc

  • I’ve been looking for these FOREVER especially as they’re not on sale, but sadly the one I’ve been wanting is out of my size. :(

  • Is this website legit ?

    • +3

Yep very legit. Unfortunately not many sizes and I just tried the code and doesn't seem to work for me.

      • Only for K116 and K117 models I think

    • +3

Completely legit. They have physical stores including in Melbourne CBD

  • cant open

I wouldn't say they're comfortable at all, especially compared to ultraboost

    • Okay maybe a slight exaggerations there, but definitely comparable to NMD.

The normal Converse feels like you're walking barefoot and this CDG insole is quite thick and comfortable, it doesn start to wear out after 6 months for me, but it could be because I usually wear it all day everyday. Even then, they are still comfortable compared to a lot of other sneakers out there imo

      • -1

its a moot point. people dont wear these for comfort

  • I don't have a normal converse to compare but even compared to NMD it's still really uncomfortable.

I feel they're really heavy and makes me tired after a whole day walking.

    • That's interesting, I actually think this is more enjoyable to wear these all days than NMD

  • +2

It's a good deal, but these days the 'streetwear' community meme on this pretty hard and make fun of people who wear this. If you don't care (and you shouldn't), by all means purchase this.

    • CDG play is still pretty trendy at UNSW pre-corrona, maybe it has changed now

      • +4

No doubt its popular, its just fashion elitists that hate on things they wore before everyone else did :/

        • It’s not hated on because it’s popular, it’s hated on because the people who wear them are always super basic. Basically just wear black skinny’s and a plain top with these converse and they think they’re fashion because of the CDG heart logo.

Just because a lot of students wear something, doesn't make it trendy.

Lots of students are poor. That's definitely not trendy.

  • Such a good price considering they're rarely ever on sale (or in stock for that matter). I got a pair from Incu back in January for $200, which was probably the best price I could find at the time.

    • Same here, I got the 1 heart ones then and add the multi-heart to my collection today :)

If you ever find yourself in Japan, its worth looking out for the PLAY Box Stores, I was there in Feb and these retail for about $140 after conversion + tax-free.

  • From memory these Chuck Taylor run big, where people should go 1 size down correct? Thanks

    • I'm a 10US (9.5UK) for Adidas and I wear size 9UK on these

    • I personally went a size down as well

    • Sizing on these are weird. The size guide on END. shows that UK and US are the same (which is true on my current Chuck Taylor All Stars). The tag on my Vans Old Skools says (10.5US/44EU/9.5UK/28.5cm) and the tag on my Chuck Taylors says (10US/44EU/10UK/28.5cm). Very confusing.

      • These arent just converse thought.

  • anyone know if these would have removable insoles? :)

    • +1

You can take them out, yes

  • Was close to purchasing the last women's low top but someone just saved me $110. :P

code doesn't work on k116 for me

  • +1

Now i just need an anti social social club tshirt so i can look like all the asian hypebeasts in sydney

  • Worked until I went to fully checkout and now no longer working. must have been an error and I missed out :(

  • Da fuq are these?

    • I used to roll in a pair of pink converse night tops but these are a bridge too far for me.

  • doesn't work

edit: working now - was able to place an order for K116 off white

  • Code worked for a second and then stop working when checking out. Now completely not working anymore

    • Okay scratch that I refreshed and it worked, confirmed in email

  • CDGX50 discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart?

    • its finished dude. looks like an error?

      • still working, just checked on the K116 high top, try it on your PC

        • Not working for me on laptop or mobile on k116 or k117

          • @csozb: tried different browsers too. Do I need to have an account and signed in to get the deal?

            • @csozb: Still working for me on Chrome & IE checking out as guest, maybe try a VPN, I'm currently running on a New Zealand server

    Delivery is now $10

    • Yeah same here, anyone know why? Trying to ship within Victoria

      • Not sure. Website says free local delivery over 100.

  • Black is not available :(

    • Yeah, black had been sold out for a couple of weeks now

  • Great price, I have the black highs myself which I got for 220. Really comfortable shoes

  • You know there are plenty of people online/etsy that will modify chuck taylors and put anything you want on them for less than you see here. You could get them to copy this design or do something that was actually good.

    • +1

But then you would know that you're not wearing the authentic pairs, it's not just a matter of how it looks but how it makes you feel.

      • +1

it's not just a matter of how it looks but how it makes you feel.

Translates to "I want everyone to know I paid a bunch of money for these"

If it was a matter of pure comfort, you'd wear something else.

        • Well I have friends that wear $200+ no show socks, how do you explain that with your reasoning?

          • @ln28909: How do you know they wear them unless they told you? Why did they tell you? Because they want you to know they paid a bunch of money for them! :)

            • @serpserpserp: One of them, we were talking about our favourite designer brand and I asked what's one of the purchase that you deeply regret? And the answer was buying Alexander McQueen socks.

              • @ln28909: Sounds like you and your friends are really into designer clothes and that is ok. But more expensive definitely doesn't equal better in fashion.

But people who are really into designer brands aren't buying things for quality. They are buying them for ego. This is also ok, it just isn't me.

                • @serpserpserp: Like I think it's better but the quality to price is not proportional, like a 100% increase in price will usually only give you an extra 10-20% increase in quality for example

                  • @ln28909:

like a 100% increase in price will usually only give you an extra 10-20% increase in quality for example

Yes. Where you could shop for no name brands that focus on quality and don't mind earning low margins and get something great for a reasonable price. It just isn't going to "impress" people who are into designer brands at a party when you say its brand name (if that is a thing people are into).

                    • @serpserpserp: That's very hypothetical, would love to know some no name brand with superior quality, I.e. no name sneakers that is better quality than these

                      • @ln28909: Harder to do with shoes because they aren't always like comparing apples with apples. But with things like Wool jumpers/jackets/coats or cashmere and the like you can buy something at $200 that is very comparable to something to at $400-$600 for instance.

    • 1, these are not just converse. So you're not just paying for the logo. The shoe is different. It's much more comfortable and higher quality Nathan regular chucks.

2, link to person who will modify and send me a pair of Chuck Taylors for less than $110? I'm interested.

      • 2, link to person who will modify and send me a pair of Chuck Taylors for less than $110? I'm interested.

I don't have the links anymore, after the CT customization craze over 5+ years ago now I kinda got over it.

Did you even bother looking? These guys below are the first link you'll find in google:

        https://bumpshoes.com/collections/mens-custom-designed-conve…

They often have sales that put it below their $129 mark and have free shipping.

That is the first link, there are many many more, it is basically a whole industry.

        • So no then….

That's not less than $110 with shipping.

I did look but couldn't find anything less than $110.

Not having a dig at you, just can't find any for less than $110 with shipping included lol

  • AHHH missed out. Both K116 and K117 are off the site already. Even if you google the links, the pages are 404 :(

  • No size 8 left in the cream/whites.. damn.

FYI anyone ordering these run 1 size larger, so if you’re a UK10 get a UK 9, unless you like heaps of toe room.
