12 pack of blue Expo markers slightly cheaper at $5.38 if you have prime - but only 5 left in stock available for backorder though (more on the way)
    Note these are chisel tip.

These are very good prices though.

    • That can't be ordered to Australia it seems.

Great deal, PST (pre-service teacher) here, grabbed a box for placements - high schools never provide them and primary schools are always shitty (kids press to hard I guess). Wish I could get a multi colour pack for this price.

    • Cheapest multipack I found was 4 for $3 lol. But I was hoping I would be able to too as well. Ordered one black and one blue though - $11 for 24 markers delivered and they aren't all the same colour?

      • I have OCD, need the same brand and bullet tip (not chiseled). Apparently these are quiet thin, but hopefully they will be alright for the classroom. Considered buying the blue for $10, but a pack of 12 blacks for $5.82 will do. I'll just use the shitty coloured ones in primary schools and the high school kids will have to make do!

Ahahaha fair enough. Some were saying they were thin and faint in the reviews, but I hope you're happy with them :)

This is how you do it. Each primary classroom that I have ever been in (100s) will have five or six whiteboard markers. You start off with one, if it doesn't work, move onto the next, and so on, and eventually you will find one that works. I've only had to dip into my own pencil case a few times over the years.

    • Another pst here. Buy them and leave them in the class - the teacher will love you. I bought out my local big w when they had the staedtler 6 pack multicoloured markers for $2 a pack. My supervisor’s eyes lit up when I have him 8 packs of markers!

      • Sold out now, but yeah I probably should of bought 3-4 packs and left my mentor a pack or two. Ah well. I remember that Big W deal - was late to the party unfortunately!

    • You will go through heaps before you find a favourite.

It sucks being a PST, I completely get it. High Schools never provide them because we can barely get enough for ourselves, though I had a supervising teacher give me a pack as a gift on completion of my final placement.

I've gone more old school chalk and talk recently which seems to be working, but this is killing all my markers so quickly. I go through about 2-3 markers a week which a faculty budget won't consider, then you got to consider them getting lost or stolen.

You will find your favourite ones are never on special. My preference are the Pilot Board Master with chisel tips, but they cost about $3 a marker.

I see what you did there…

Thanks, OP. Need to look for a deal for the small whiteboard now.

Does anyone know for how long do these markers last unused/ unopened (before they dry up)?

  • I order this (12 pk) for $4.90 just 5 mins back and now the price increased to $44.68. May be it was a limited period deal..weird!: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B004L13JB6

    Thanks OP!

Bought it, but don't need it… just like many other items purchased via OzBargain listings.

  • These Texta markers are also available for $7.07. Don't particularly recommend them as the tip gets worn out very easily if there is a lot of board work and students use them. Part of the issue is how I use my markers though, ymmv.
